Heather Mills loves her freedom

Heather Mills

Heather Mills loves the freedom she is now enjoying since her divorce from Paul McCartney.

The former model – who secured a £24.3 million pay out when she legally separated from the former Beatle in March 2008 – says her life has changed for the better since the high-profile split.

When asked how she is feeling, Heather replied: “I’m really having a great time, totally. Great freedom!”

Earlier this year, Heather – who has a five-year-old daughter, Beatrice, with Paul – claims she gets asked out “all the time”.

The 41-year-old blonde – who lost her left leg below the knee when she was hit by a police motorcycle in 1993 – insists her friends are always astonished by the amount of attention she receives from the opposite sex.

Heather, who is reportedly dating her former personal trainer Jamie Walker, said: “I’ve got so many stunning girlfriends who can’t get a boyfriend. But when I go out, I get asked out all the time, and my girlfriends – who are better looking than me – say, ‘How the hell does that happen?!’ Maybe it’s because I’m comfortable with myself.”

Lil Wayne sued over sleepiness

Lil Wayne

It certainly would have been cheaper to buy an alarm clock. Lil Wayne is being sued for nearly half-a-million bucks for sleeping when he should have been performing.

Red City Entertainment claims it fronted $432,000 for a Wayne concert appearance in the Bahamas. On September 27, 2008, there were plenty of lights and cameras… but no action, because Wayne was passed out in his hotel room. When he didn’t show for the performance, cops went to his hotel and found him unconscious.

In the lawsuit filed today, Red City claims it gave Wayne a $210,000 advance. The balance is for his hotel expenses and various costs involved in throwing the failed concert.

Calls to Lil Wayne’s rep were not returned.

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton is ready to fight accusations that she’s a huge flake — and she just arrived at a courthouse in Miami accompanied by her team of lawyers.

Paris is being sued by film investors who claim she failed to promote the DVD release of her 2006 flick “Pledge This!” — meanwhile no one has sued the film investors for putting out a movie starring Paris Hilton.

She’s being sued for more than $8 million and is expected to take the stand tomorrow.

Rupert Grint is a tipsy wizard!

Rupert Grint

Rupert Grint got so drunk at the premiere of ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ he got into the wrong car the next day.

The 20-year-old actor – who plays Harry’s sidekick Ron Weasley in the boy wizard films – was already anticipating a “big night” when he walked the red carpet in the pouring rain at London’s Leicester Square on Tuesday.

He said: “It’s great to be here. Premieres are always a lot of fun. Always a really big night – if you know what I mean!”

After the event, Rupert and his co-stars Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe let their hair down at the after-party.

The next morning, Rupert seemed worse for wear, stumbling out of the exclusive Claridge’s Mayfair hotel looking as though he might be sick at any moment.

The bleary-eyed star was so dazed he got into the wrong car, sitting there for around a minute before he realized his mistake.

The night before, Rupert bragged about his drunken antics at the premiere.

He laughed: “When I’m drunk I like to cause mischief. I’ll steal props like the broomsticks from the ‘Harry Potter’ set and bring them out to the pub for comedy value. It seems funny at the time. Trouble is I usually get too trashed to remember what happened the next day.”

Rihanna’s friends: “She’s been a nervous wreck for weeks”

Rihanna

Supposed friends of Rihanna say that the situation with Chris Brown in which he was sentenced 180 days of community labor for assaulting her, has been hard on the songbird. Chris has been given five years of probation and is not permitted to be within 50 yards of her [10 yards on events]. This has reportedly made Rihanna quite unhappy.

A source tells Now magazine, “It’s so hard for her. She knows her family would freak out if she told them she wants to get on with Chris, so she has to hide her feelings.”

The source also says that Rihanna was absolutely terrified to testify against Brown, “She’s been a nervous wreck for weeks as she was so terrified that Chris would hate her after she testified. Whenever she starts crying, she has to pretend that she’s been having flashbacks to the attacks. But it isn’t that. It’s because she misses him and can’t believe it came to this after everything they had going. She’s mad with him, but at the same time she blames herself.”

According to the source, the nerves were uncontrollable before the trial, “She couldn’t eat in the days before the trial. Her stomach was in knots and she was shaking. Whenever I see her out, she always has a drink in her hand – mostly champagne, but sometimes beer or shots. She’s in pain and is trying to numb it out to the best of her ability.”

Rev. Al Sharpton laughed about Michael Jackson during 2008 race discussion

Al Sharpton

Since Michael Jackson’s untimely death June 25, Rev. Al Sharpton has stepped up to honor the singer, standing alongside Joe Jackson at a recent family press conference and playing an instrumental role in the late singer’s BET Awards tribute and July 6 memorial, where he praised the King of Pop for having “eradicated barriers.”

But last fall, Sharpton seemed to be distancing himself from the singer.

On Sept. 26, 2008, Sharpton took part in a discussion on race on the GO Fish Radio Network.

Sharpton said the African American community “cannot excuse some of our own misdeeds and behaviors on racism. It must be a balance between the society’s responsibility and personal responsibility.”

The host then said there is too much finger pointing when it comes to who’s to blame for racism. He then quoted Jackson, saying that more people need to “take a look at the ‘Man in the Mirror.’”

Sharpton then replied, “Well, just remember: You quoted Michael. I didn’t.”

Then they all laughed.

Tiger Woods gets candid about his life & family

Tiger Woods

Everywhere Tiger Woods goes, he draws a huge crowd. While recently promoting his video game, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, he saw firsthand how crazy the throng could be. “This is abnormal,” he confided to People after navigating through a sea of fans who were trying to give him high-fives and snapping his picture. “Everything else about my life is very normal. I do the same things everyone else does.”

(Note to Tiger: “Everyone else” doesn’t play video golf with Jimmy Fallon in Times Square, backing up traffic and drawing more than a thousand screaming fans.)

In a rare quiet moment, Woods sat down with People for a candid interview to discuss family and fatherhood, including the lessons he learned from his late dad, Earl Woods, who died of cancer in 2006.

Family Bonding
Woods, who missed much of the last golf season due to a knee injury, tells People that he used the break to spend time more solid, quality with his then 1-year-old daughter, Sam.

“We’re different than other sports in the fact that we don’t spend half our season at home. We’re always on the road,” he explains. “I got a chance to be around her all the time, so that was a huge bonus.”

While rehabbing his knee, Woods played games with Sam, whom he describes as “very active.” They also sang songs and even tried to play video games. (“It didn’t work,” says Woods. “She was too young.”) And the video games weren’t simply for fun: Woods credits the hours he spent playing his own computer game on the Wii Fit with getting him back in shape.

Despite the time off from golf, Woods recalls the forced hiatus as a happy time: His wife Elin was pregnant with son Charlie Axel, now 4 months old. Sam was going through the cute toddler phase, and Woods got a chance to reconnect with friends and family. “I would have missed a lot,” says Woods, who won the AT&T National earlier this month.

Lessons from Dad
The only downside? The absence of Woods’s father, Earl. “I think of him every day,” says Woods simply. “He taught me everything.” Including golf.

When Woods was a toddler, Earl would put him in a white high chair in the garage while the elder Woods practiced his swing. “I grew up in Southern California,” says Woods. “There was El Nino that year, and all the storms lined up. He couldn’t play golf outside, but he wanted to continue working on his game. I just happened to be around. I got enthralled with it; absolutely loved it. I didn’t want to come out of the high chair.” Soon, Earl put a club in Tiger’s hands, and a golf superstar emerged.

As for his own children, Woods plan to encourage them to pursue their passions. “Whatever they want to do is fine with me,” he says. Are they athletic? Woods isn’t sure yet. “They’re so young,” he explains. “Sam is very active; she loves to run. She runs a lot. [But] Charlie is only 4 months old. Who knows?”
