Talk about growing pains. In order to compete with Robert Pattinson in the upcoming Twilight sequel, New Moon, Taylor Lautner had to transform from a cute kid into a ripped god – er, werewolf.

“The day I finished Twilight, I came home and started bulking up,” Lautner, 17, tells Interview magazine about his getting fit to return as werewolf Jacob Black. “For New Moon, I’m 30 pounds heavier than I was in Twilight.”

What’s the biggest challenge living with his ab-tastic new physique? “I grew out of a lot of my clothes,” he says. “I went from a men’s small to a men’s large.”

With New Moon mania in full swing, fans of the bestselling vampire saga haven’t pulled any punches. “They are very intense, but it’s cool that they’re so dedicated and so passionate,” he says, even though “sometimes it becomes a little overwhelming.”

Case in point: costar Robert Pattinson – who plays brooding vampire Edward Cullen – was recently mobbed by fans in New York City. “We’ve met many different fans: the criers, who come around quite often; the hyperventilators who stop breathing and have to have a medic come,” Lautner says. “We’ve definitely seen some passion.”

Gwyneth Paltrow knows that in Hollywood, relationships don’t always last.

“A long-term relationship between two people is an ever-evolving organism,” she writes in her GOOP newsletter on Thursday. “Some stay the course, some fall, all stumble.”

The actress — who was engaged to Brad Pitt and dated Ben Affleck before marrying her husband of five years, rocker Chris Martin — then says she “asked a few very wise women, most of whom are in varying forms of longtime partnerships, for their insights.”

One expert Paltrow sought for tips? Monica Berg, a spiritual teacher and creative director at L.A.’s Kabbalah Center, of which the 36-year-old star is a follower.

“There are no stable marriages. There may be happy ones, but not stable ones,” Berg explains. “Either we are growing forward or falling backwards. This is true in all areas of our life … which is why I believe nurturing relationships is so important. We owe it to ourselves and those we love not to settle for mediocrity in any way, and instead to nurture and allow our relationships to become the source of joy, support and love that they were intended to be.”

Jon and Kate Gosselin reunited Thursday afternoon for the first time since he took new girlfriend Hailey Glassman on a luxe getaway to France.

The exes were spotted hanging out in the driveway of their $1.1 million Pennsylvania home with two of their sextuplets. Jon drank Vitamin Water, while Aaden sucked on a popsicle. (They were last together on the fourth of July.)

While Kate lives at the home full-time, Jon stops by when he has visitation. “We flip-flop that way,” Kate explained on the same episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 they announced their split.

Jon was also seen playing with two of his girls Wednesday at the home.

On Tuesday, he landed in New York City without his new 22-year-old gal pal.

When asked by photographers what ex Kate thinks of party girl Glassman (the daughter of the surgeon who performed her 2006 tummy tuck), Jon said, “I guess you’d have to ask Kate.”

He then added that he’s “not allowed” to discuss the relationship. “I don’t want to get in trouble,” he said.

Ivanka Trump got engaged to her longtime beau Jared Kushner last night, a rep for the couple confirms to Usmagazine.com.

“I’m very happy about it,” Donald Trump tells Usmagazine.com. “They make a magnificent couple.”

Ivanka, 27, posted the news on Twitter earlier today.

“I got engaged last night…truly the happiest day of my life!!!” she wrote.

A source tells Us: “The ring is stunning!”

The couple have been dating since 2007. They briefly split, but reconciled in July 2008.

Trump, a vice president at the Trump Organization, converted to Judaism for Kushner, the publisher of the New York Observer.

Three times nominated for her acting, though never a winner, Farrah Fawcett received her fourth Emmy nod posthumously on Thursday, as an executive producer of Farrah’s Story, the May 15 NBC special that tracked the three-year cancer battle that eventually claimed her life on June 25.

Fawcett, 62, was best known for her portrayal of Jill Munroe on Charlie’s Angels, though she only remained with the show its first season, 1976-77. Her acting nominations were for roles in The Burning Bed (1984), Small Sacrifices (1989) and The Guardian (2004).

In a statement Thursday, Fawcett’s longtime companion, Ryan O’Neal said, “For the Television Academy to recognize Farrah’s Story with this nomination is such a wonderful acknowledgment for Farrah and her legacy. I know that she is smiling that fabulous smile right now in heaven, and that she is grateful that the show has been so well received not only by her peers in the industry but by the public at large.”

The stage for Madonna’s concert in Marseille, France collapsed today, killing one person and injuring six.

The collapse occurred at the Velodrome stadium where Madonna was going to perform on July 19. We’re told the top of the stage collapsed on a crane — which, in turn, fell on top of the workers. Fire officials in Marseille tell us two of the injured workers are in critical condition — one is an American.

French papers say the concert has been canceled.

UPDATE: Madonna has issued the following statement: “I am devastated to have just received this tragic news. My prayers go out to those who were injured and their families along with my deepest sympathy to all those affected by this heartbreaking news.”
