Rihanna has been doing more than strutting down red carpets this summer. She’s also been recording a new album.
A source working on it says, “it will be the album to really give her an identity musically.” While no release date has been set, fans won’t have to wait to hear from the artist, who is also making a guest appearance on Jay-Z’s new record Blueprint 3 – the final chapter in his Blueprint trilogy. That album is due Sept. 11.
Rihanna, 21, lends her voice to the catchy hook in Jay-Z’s “Run This Town.” The song also features Kanye West. (To hear “Run This Town,” click here).
As for Rihanna’s solo project, “It’s very techno-based this time around,” says the source. “She’s not that far into her album yet, but it’s sounding great.”
Just one day after Kelis gave birth to her soon-to-be ex-husband Nas‘ son, an LA judge ordered the rapper to pay nearly $40,000 in monthly child support, according to legal documents.
On July 22, the “Milkshake” singer, who filed for divorce from Nas in April, welcomed their baby boy, Knight, into the world. The next day, LA Superior Court Judge Louis Meisinger ruled that Nas would have to pay $45,000 for his ex’s attorney fees, as well as $30,471 a month in spousal support and $9,027 in child support.
The former couple married in 2005 and will be back in court on September 8 for a hearing to determine whether the monthly support payments should be revised.

In the first clip, Bella (Kristen Stewart) takes her first ride on a motorcycle built for her by best bud Jacob (Taylor Lautner). As she mounts the bike, putting her usually clumsy self in danger, Edward’s (Robert Pattinson) apparition appears warning her to be cautious.
Craving to see her vampire love, who fled Forks so she could have a normal life, Bella speeds up only to crash and injure herself. Jacob then runs to her aid, taking off his T-shirt (revealing his ripped abs in the process!) for her to wipe the blood from her forehead.
“You’re sorta beautiful,” Bella says, igniting her passion for her once-platonic pal.
The second clip, which can be viewed on YouTube, shows Bella frantically in pursuit of Edward (also shirtless!) in Italy in an effort to prevent him from stepping out into the sunlight and revealing his true, sparkling self.
