Katherine Heigl ready to have a baby?

Katherine Heigl

According to an insider, Katherine Heigl has informed Grey’s Anatomy producers that she and her husband Josh are trying to start a family, so that her pregnancy can be written into the show’s storyline.

“They are ready for a child,” says the insider. “She gave her TV bosses a heads-up, just in case she gets pregnant soon.”

Katherine and Josh reportedly also plan to adopt a child from Korea (where Katherine’s sister was adopted from), but Korean law requires that a couple be married for three years prior to adopting. Since they’ve only been married for a year and a half, they’re trying for a biological baby first. Says an insider, “They are hoping for a big family.”

Daniel Radcliffe “loathes” homophobia

Daniel Radcliffe

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has confessed in a frank interview to a gay magazine – he is a Liberal Democrat.

The handsome actor – who turned 20 yesterday – appears on the latest cover of Attitude and inside reveals his true political feelings.

He tells of his deep dislike for Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Tory leader David Cameron.

The multi-millionaire also tells how he grew up surrounded by his parents’ gay pals and hates anyone with a homophobic attitude.

Radcliffe – who is not gay and is dating actress Laura O’Toole – said: “I just loathe homophobia. It’s just disgusting and animal and stupid and it’s just thick people who can’t get their heads around it and are just scared. I grew up around gay people entirely. I was the only child in my class who had any experience of homosexuality or anything like that.”

The actor – who battles soul-sucking Dementors as the boy wizard and is currently starring in Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince – said he supports Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg because the other parties offer nothing to young people.

He said: “I rather like Nick Clegg. At the next election I will almost certainly vote Lib Dem. If all the people who liked them voted for them you could change politics overnight and we could have a proper three party system.”

Asked about Gordon Brown he said: “Paul Merton said, and I agree with him, ‘it’s a tragedy that this man has waited all his life to do this job – and now he finds out he can’t do it.’

“I don’t like the New Labour thing. I never experienced the optimism of New Labour, I was too young but I hear everyone was up and it was fantastic. I’ve only seen the bad years of it.”

Radcliffe’s opinion on David Cameron is no more positive.

He raged: “No! No, no, no, no, no! David Cameron is barely distinguishable from Tony Blair.”

He added: “I think the reason why people don’t vote is because the politicians are all so central now, it doesn’t seem to matter who you vote for.”

He also blasted the BNP who won two seats in the recent Euro elections, saying: “I hate any type of prejudice.”

Katie Holmes’ SYTYCD performance ups ratings 17 percent

Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes brought more than her dance moves to Thursday night’s So You Think You Can Dance.

Some 8.4 million people tuned into the 100th episode of the FOX competition, an increase of 17 percent in total viewers. SYTYCD was the highest-rated show among adults 18 to 54, teens and females, according to network stats.

Holmes showed off her legs while stepping through a pre-taped Judy Garland tribute on the show.

She donated her performance fee to Dizzy Feet Foundation, which offers dance scholarships to kids.

“I don’t think she’s ever looked more beautiful,” judge Mary Murphy told Usmagazine.com last night. “I bet Judy Garland’s giving [Katie] a standing ovation in heaven.”

Added show producer Nigel Lythgoe: “She put herself out there and she didn’t have to do that, so I’m very delighted in her performance.”

What did you think of her performance?

Jude Law heckled by paparazzi in London

Jude Law

The night after Jude Law started a controversy by — accidentally, he claims — striking a female photographer attempting to snap a picture of him in London, the actor was booed and heckled by the paparazzi gathered outside the Wyndhams Theatre while he tried to sign autographs for fans.

The obviously agitated Jude even got face-to-face with one photog who had a problem with Law’s behavior the previous night.

It was obviously an accident and there are no photos that have surfaced showing him hitting her in the face. I’ve only seen the ones where he looked like he was raising an arm to shoo away the snappers.

Amy Winehouse acquitted over assault

Amy Winehouse

Well Amy Winehouse can chalk up one victory in her life since returning to London from St. Lucia: A judge acquitted the troubled singer today of assaulting a fan who asked for her picture outside a ball in September.London district Judge Timothy Workman found Amy not guilty of punching Sherene Flash in the eye, according to Reuters. Amy claimed that she was just scared and felt intimidated, and meant to simply push the woman’s arm away. She also claimed that she was too short to have punched Flash in the face. The judge said he could not be sure the blow was deliberate.

“I’m relieved. I’m going home,” Amy said as she left. She also released a statement, saying she was “very happy to move on with her life and put the episode behind her.”

She’s looking so much better, too, isn’t she? I can’t wait for her to release another album!
