Since splitting from wife Kate, being careful with his family’s money doesn’t seem to be a priority for Jon Gosselin. On July 24, Jon was partying it up at the Pink Elephant nightclub in Southampton, N.Y. Days earlier, Jon was spotted purchasing a pair of $950 shoes from NYC boutique Pravda Abbigliamento on Madison Avenue. “He told us to call him if we got in anything else he might be interested in,” store owner Philip Pravda tells Life & Style.

The single life hasn’t only turned Jon into a big spender, it’s made him greedy for more. “Jon is sure Kate’s keeping money from him, more than a million dollars,” an insider close to Jon tells Life & Style. “He thinks some of the money she’s made from her books and tours has been put someplace where he can’t access it.” Jon’s friend confirms, “Jon says he found out Kate had been hiding about $100,000 in cash in the house.”

Rather than confront Kate about it, Jon’s leaving it to his lawyers to fight for him. “It’s turned into an all-out war over money,” the insider says. “Jon says Kate’s books and speaking engagements were based on their children and their relationship, so he rightfully deserves a cut.” Kate disagrees. “As far as she’s concerned, this is money she’s made by herself,” the insider says. “She doesn’t want him to get a cent of it.”

The U.S. beauty says that she has to ‘walk a fine line’ when choosing her clothing. Last year Eva had an advert banned from U.S. TV screens for showing a flash of her nipple, and earlier this year starred in a sultry campaign for CK Underwear.

But she told Marie Claire magazine: “I love my curves and I embrace them, but I have to walk a fine line. There are certain dresses that are like: ‘Oh, this is really feminine. This isn’t sexy at all’, but then I’d try it on and it just turned.”

“I think it comes down to being voluptuous, and if your body’s a certain way, then things can go distasteful in a second.”

The 35-year-old, who spent a short spell in rehab last year, also revealed that she credits four years of therapy with changing how she deals with fame.

“[I'm] a woman who has been through life experiences, thank God, and therapy. I love therapy!” she said. “I’m very into it. I’m very in touch with my feelings, so I’m a completely different person. Not that different but you know… I gotta tell you, there’s nothing like going in and sitting down and talking to someone who has no emotional tie to your life. Just to talk to someone. It’s amazing.”

Eva also makes the unusual revelation that she likes nothing better than visiting cemeteries.

“I love cemeteries. They’re so beautiful and peaceful.” She has visited Oscar Wilde’s grave in Paris and London’s Highgate Cemetery, the burial place of Karl Marx. “The older the better,” she says.

When the news broke that LeAnn Rimes and Dean Sheremet had separated – just four months after the singer was reportedly caught in an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian – it saddened many friends who had admired their marriage and what they did for each other over the past seven years.

In Nashville, those who knew the couple recall how the pair never seemed to spend a moment apart. Says one friend, “[LeAnn and Dean] were pretty much inseparable here.” The pair were often spotted together at the gym, dining on the town with friends, dancing at nightclubs and even shopping for Rimes’s wardrobe.

Profound Influence
Sheremet, in fact, is credited with helping his wife – who was 19 when they married – make the transformation from a country girl into a sexy siren. “When she met Dean, the whole image of who LeAnn Rimes was completely morphed into ‘fabulousity,’ ” says a source close to the couple. Sheremet, 28, who choreographed the singer’s Chicago-inspired video for “Nothin’ Better to Do” in 2007, “saw the potential that was not being tapped,” adds the friend. “Her wardrobe, hair and makeup changed almost over night from the time they started being together.”

But sources say it may have been inevitable that they grew apart as they they both got older. “I don’t think it’s unusual considering how young they were [when they wed], and the business they’re in,” says a member of their social circle.

Separate Cities
As Rimes, 26, expanded her career into acting, she spent more time in Los Angeles, while Sheremet’s career as a songwriter kept him in Nashville. “Maybe there was less of an effort to meet up in those moments where they typically would have met up,” suggests a Rimes pal.

Rimes and Sheremet’s strong friendship, however, is making it difficult for them to officially split. Though the singer has been spending time with newly-separated Cibrian, she and her husband are still in touch and it’s unclear when – or if – they might seek a divorce. Says the Rimes pal, “There’s still a lot of love and respect between the two of them. But sometimes love might not be enough.”

Jessica Simpson has put her foot in her mouth again.

This time, the 29-year-old singer – who famously confused tuna with chicken because the label said “Chicken of the Sea” – has outraged some in the Native American community for using a racial stereotype.

Earlier this week, TMZ.com asked Simpson if she would be taking back the expensive boat she bought for ex Tony Romo. Her reply? “I’m not an Indian giver.”

“I am shocked she said that. I didn’t know people still said that,” one person wrote on the website, theforumsite. “She will be apologizing … there is outrage.”

Added another TMZ.com commenter: “I’m a Native American and I cringed when I heard Jessica Simpson comment about us Native Americans. Am I mad!?! I should be, but look at who the comment is coming from.”

A third chimed in: “As a Native American, in particular a Dakota, I find those comments quite sad and stereotypical. But not surprising, if you look who said them.”

Chatham County Sheriff Al St Lawrence says his office did nothing wrong in the case of a man who is a reported stalker of Miley Cyrus. He says the man, 53 year old Mark McLeod was arrested by Tybee Island Police last month and booked on two misdemeanor charges. St Lawrence says the man was released the day after his arrest. “If we had heard something about this guy supposedly being a stalker or he had been charged with a felony he wouldn’t have been released,“ St Lawrence tells us.

St Lawrence was reacting to a story in Wednesday’s Savannah Morning News, which indicates that McLeod often shows up at events involving Cyrus, including a book signing in March in New York and that police in Los Angeles, California say McLeod’s arrest on Tybee violated a court order in Los Angeles County and they wanted to have McLeod taken into custody on their behalf. Los Angeles police tell us they they “became aware that McLeod was arrested on June 22, but would not tell how how they found out that information. A spokesperson from LAPD says a detective “then requested the police report from Tybee Island so he could have the information and be prepared in case McLeod tried to contact Cyrus in our jurisdiction.“ The spokesperson would not tell me if has arrested McLeod in the past for stalking or any other charge.
A police report from Tybee Island Police says on June 22 McLeod was arrested as he stood with a crowd watching the filming of Cyrus’s movie “The Last Song.“ They say McLeod was making “inappropriate comments” to some of the young females present and that when approached, McLeod became beligerant, started screaming and fought officers who tried to arrest him.

The report also goes on to outline comments Tybee Island police say McLeod made to them saying he was “great friends with Cyrus and she had asked him to come and see her.“

The report indicates that McLeod said he had “been camping at Tybee for three or four days and that he had observed Cyrus on her balcony, that he sent her special presents and that he was going to marry Cyrus and even invited the police officer to the wedding.“

St Lawrence says no one at his office was given the incident report from Tybee Police which he says is standard procedure and that most municipalities don’t provide those reports to the jail and if they do it is often “days after the arrest.“

Sheriff St Lawrence says “if this man really is a stalker, yes this would be a concern, but again we were told nothing about any of the comments that McLeod made to Tybee Island arresting officers. And even if we had been told, it wouldn’t have mattered because he was charged with two non-violent misdemeanors and we acted accordingly.“

Tybee Island Police would not comment to us about any of this. St Lawrence did tell us that if “the arresting officer feels someone is unbalanced or in need of mental health attention, that officer can take them to Memorial Health for an evaluation or set things in motion to have them evaluated at Georgia Regional. “We had no indication of any problems on the morning he was released,“ St Lawrence told us.

Tybee Island’s police report does indicate that when McLeod was arrested he stated to booking personnel that he was “Miley Cyrus’s boyfriend and they should contact her before we waste all this time.“

St Lawrence does acknowlege that jail overcrowding was one factor in McLeod’s release on the morning of June 23. “We have to look at who is charged with violent offenses and every day, figure out who we can let out. We aren’t doing anything different than any other county in Georgia, we’re all having to make these kinds of decisions.“

St Lawrence told us that while overcrowding played some role that “if this guy had had $148 dollars he could have bonded out that day regardless of how many people had been housed in the jail that morning.“

McLeod was released on what St Lawrence called a subpoena signature with the promise to appear in court on September first. His whereabouts are now unknown.

The hit MTV reality show’s fifth season premieres Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 10 p.m. EST, Usmagazine.com confirms exclusively.

Although this will be the first episode of The Hills without its former star, Lauren Conrad, the series’ regulars — including Heidi and Spencer Pratt, Conrad’s BFF Lo Bosworth and Audrina Patridge — will continue bringing drama to Hollywood.

Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari will also join the cast to start shaking things up.

“Basically…they want me to come in and start drama,” she said in May. “I’m good for it, it’s fun.”

Her plans?

“Drinking, fighting, hooking up — all that good stuff!” she joked.

Don’t believe the hype: Ryan Reynolds did not skip Comic-Con over a feud with his wife Scarlett Johansson, according to reps for both stars.

“[The report] is completely untrue,” the reps tell People. “Warner Brothers never planned to have Green Lantern as part of their panel at this year’s Comic-Con and Ryan is in Europe shooting a film.”

Reports have circulated online that Johansson, 24, and Reynolds, 32, got into a heated argument which caused him to skip the popular annual event.

Adds a source close to the couple, “Any reports of a fight are ridiculous.” Johansson and Reynolds quietly tied the knot in September 2008.
