Joshua and Anna Duggar Reveal Baby’s Name
Joshua and Anna Duggar say they’re ready to premiere the name of the newest Duggar, expected to arrive Oct. 20, 2009: Mackynzie Renée.
“We are really excited about all of it,” Josh tells People about prepping for the birth of the newest Duggar. “We’re going to have a little person that is ours to raise up. That is a real blessing.”
Josh is the eldest of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 18 children, whose names all begin with the letter J. The family lives in Tontitown, Ark., and is featured on TLC’s 18 Kids and Counting.
So, with the announcement of the new baby’s name, does this mean all of Josh and Anna’s kids’ names will start with M?
“We won’t decide that now,” Josh says. “We’ll take one at a time.”
Meanwhile, Anna is getting the baby’s brown and lime green room prepared – “maybe we’ll add a little pink,” she says, now they’ve found out the baby’s gender – and reading parenting books.
“My favorite part of pregnancy is feeling the baby move and kick,” she says. “And, it is so neat watching Josh enjoy the pregnancy and bond with Mackynzie. It has brought our relationship closer together.”
The family is set to be featured on Fox News Channel’s Huckabee show, talking with the former governor about Mackynzie and how the Duggar’s reality show and family experience is different than the Jon & Kate Plus 8 situation.
“I am really enjoying the reality show,” says Anna, who is the newest member of the cast. “It has been neat because they are doing such a great job of documenting our lives right now. We focus on pleasing the Lord, and trying to be who we really are. That’s what’s important.”

why are they freaks? They support their brood w/ their own money. THey are not leaches of government nor are they criminals. They make an honest living, they love God and are NOT AFRAID to show it.
Just b/c they have more than 2 children? Bad hair? Modest clothing? Might be a bit much to most, but again, I stress they are still RESPONSIBLE FUNCTIONING PEOPLE IN THIS SOCIETY.

At least they are doing it on their own. No hand outs. If anything they are the ones giving the hand outs but doing volunteer work and suck.

Children are a gift and not a given right. This family needs to learn that they aren’t an isolated entity and ‘every sperm ISN’T sacred.’ There are millions of children dying of starvation because of environmental and resource degradation. STOP breeding like rabbits and think of what you’re doing to this planet.

I agree about the duggars excessive breeding. However, this is Josh and Anna’s first child, and they have said they will probably only have two or three children.

They are leaving the number of children they have up to God. It was even in their wedding vows. They’ve said they’d be happy with just 2 or 3, if that’s all God wanted to give them, but they aren’t going to be limiting themselves to that number.

I just couldn’t let the first two comments go unchallenged. You have so much to say about environmental and resource degradation and yet here you are surfing the Internet! Think about how much time and resources you wasted posting your ridiculous comments. There are no innocents when it comes to resource degradation. I find it repulsive that you have to grasp at straws just to find a negative thing to say about the Duggars. I feel these comments are aimed at trying to discredit their families because of their beliefs as Christians. There are plenty of resources available. If you are unhappy about how resources are made available, then write your Congressman. But do not demonstrate your lack of intelligence by blaming these families who go out of their way to use as little resources as possible. I’m sure they are more responsible with their resources than you are with your resources. Grow up, and do something more constructive with your time, such as volunteering at your local church.

I love how people knock larger families for their choice to have alot of kids, but if some woman was to have 18 abortions that would be okay right? It’s her body right? Regardless of how many children a woman chooses to have or not have the ultimate decision is the woman’s right, correct? The government isn’t supporting these 18 kids, they are supporting and providing for their family themselves so respect The Duggars for having as many children as they want, just like a woman can (sadly) have as many abortions as she wants. So what’s the problem? Her body, her choice.

Each person will have to answer to God on behalf of themselves. Why would one want to have to explain why they turned down one of His blessings, or worse, murdered a child? I know that I don’t, and like the Duggars, I am leaving the size of my family up to God. The Duggars are admirable, IMHO. Birth control manipulates the lining of the uterus, therefore causing abortions (look it up). Why would you bash someone for the choice of being UNSELFISH? The ones with only 1 or 2 kids are just too selfish to have more. They’d rather have the fancy house and cars, jewelry, ipods, etc. They’re not breeders, they’re TRUE Bible Believers.

Actually, we DO need a higher birthrate in this country! Look it up…Hasn’t anyone noticed yet that our way of life is on it’s way out the door? It won’t be long before we are all forced to memorize the Koran and wear a veil! We have made the lives of our children and grandchildren a living hell because we are selfish! More power to them. People like you guys judge them. They are such kind people and sweet. They don’t keep up with the jones. They are wholesome down to earth people. I wish more people where like them. And not like you guys who are so judmental . More people need to have morals and values. Becauseall you guys who down grade them. Don’t have morals and values and you are in dept up to your ears. They are sweet and nice people who live within their means .

I think people should be happy and not be mad people
GOD is the way and the truth and man shall come though me. I hope the new set of duggars are just like the other duggars and there show is a wouldful thing because I keep up to date with the show. May GOD blass Josh and Anna and Jim Bob and Mitchelle.
