Oklahoma City police say that it’s doubtful Jessica Alba will face any criminal  because the locals seem just too nice to press charges.

“Right now the investigation is still open. Nobody has been interviewed, but we’re talking with the property owners to see if they’re interested in pressing charges,” Oklahoma Police Sgt. Gary Knight tells E! News. “That’s typical in something like a vandalism like this; we’d interview the owners and go from there.”

Alba could be charged with a felony and face jail time if the total damage caused by the vandalism exceeds $1,000. But, says Knight, “in most cases like this, if the victims are certain they don’t want to prosecute, then we usually don’t and the case is closed.”

“We are certain that she didn’t mean any harm as she has since apologized,” he continues, adding, “We remain focused on our work rather than this minor distraction.”

The same goes for Oklahoma City’s Parks and Recreations Department, which had a traffic box defaced with a shark posting and which filed a police report triggering the investigation.

“We’re not pressing criminal charges against Ms. Alba,” spokeswoman Kristy Yager says. “She has provided an apology to the United Way and that was the most important thing to us and we’re glad she did that. I fully suspect she had no idea what types of problems this would cause.”

The adhesive Alba and her cohorts used was so strong that Oklahoma Gas & Electric needed to bring in a sand blaster to remove the signage from a pad-mounted transformer.

“I can’t say we are planning to pursue any type of criminal charges,” Brian Alford, spokesman for the utility company, tells E! News. Though he did express hope that Alba and company would pay OG&E for the clean-up.

“Granted the city property and our property were damaged, but at this particular point we’re willing to put this all behind us and move forward. I think a valuable lesson was learned as a result.”

A publicist for Alba did not immediately return calls seeking comment on whether the actress is willing to pay for the damages.

The brunette beauty once had an allergic reaction to the sticky product during main character Carrie Bradshaw’s wedding scene on the Sex and the City movie set.

“We often stand in a line, and their hair people would come over,” AHAVA spokesperson Kristin told In Touch about primping with co-stars Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker at an event for the mineral-based skin care brand in New York on June 10.

“The other hair people don’t tell you when they’re about to spray. Every exposed part of my skin to the end of my dress had a rash! So I had to say, ‘Please warn me so that I can step out of the cloud, because I can’t get a hold of it!’ ” Luckily, makeup artists were able to cover up the blotchy skin in time for filming.

She says, “I always know when she’s going out with her girlfriends, because, if she is, the paparazzi are outside. If they get bored with Lindsay or she’s not there and I’m right down the hill they’ll go, ‘Oh Lindsay’s not here. Let’s take Anna.’”

Kate is determined to take to the stage with (her boyfriend) Jamie Hince’s band The Kills – which also features Alison Mosshart – at the Hoping’s Got Talent charity event in London next week, but it would seem that Jamie is against the idea.

A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “Kate is keen on doing more singing, she wants her voice out there. But Jamie is refusing to even entertain the idea. He says Alison Mosshart will be livid.”

Kate is confident she can change Jamie’s mind and has even been taking singing lessons so she can wow the crowd with her vocal talents.

The 35-year-old beauty is hosting a karaoke party – which will raise money for children’s charity the Hoping Foundation – at London’s Cafe de Paris next Thursday.

Guests can pay for the opportunity to sing alongside other celebrities and will be judged by a panel including Kate and British TV show ‘X Factor’ judge Louis Walsh.

Jennifer Aniston has slammed American tabloid reports she enjoyed a secret rendez-vous with her ex-husband Brad Pitt.

The former couple, which split in 2005, reportedly reunited recently in an “intimate 1am rendez-vous” at New York City’s Gramercy Park Hotel – following their rumored reconciliation in April (09), according to U.S. tabloid Star.

The reports fuelled break-up rumors between Pitt and partner Angelina Jolie.

Pitt has denied the rumors, and now Aniston’s spokesperson has stepped in to blast the allegations, calling the story a “complete fabrication”. A spokesperson for the hotel has also defended the star, insisting the reports are absolutely “not true”.

Jordin Sparks has dismissed rumors she is set to drop Chris Brown’s vocals from their No Air duet – insisting she “doesn’t regret” working with the shamed star.

The former American Idol winner teamed up with Brown in 2008, and the single became an international hit and landed the pair a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Collaboration.

But Sparks insists she won’t let the accusations against Brown marr her opinion of him or the song – and she is adamant he was the right singer for the track.

She tells Britain’s Nme magazine, “I don’t regret recording that with Chris at all. I want to keep Chris on that track because he was the original person on that track and that’s how it should be.”
