It’s rarely a good sign when a movie studio decides to put a film into turnaround only a couple of days before it’s slated to begin shooting — especially a film from an Oscar-winning director and starring one of the biggest-name actors on the planet. But that’s exactly what happened to Brad Pitt’s next project, the Steven Soderbergh-directed Moneyball, which was supposed to start filming today in Arizona.
However, insiders explain to OK! that this delay in production, which is reportedly due to last-minute conflicts over the script, may end up working in Brad’s favor — psychologically and physically.
“The location shoot for the film would have kept Brad away from his family, who are all with Angelina Jolie while she films Salt on the east coast,” says the insider. “But with Moneyball on hold, he won’t be jetting back and forth or have to worry about being a long-distance dad. Brad is free to do what he wants until this situation with the film is resolved.”
Some sources tell OK! that Brad already took advantage of the schedule change by flying east to join Angie and the kids for Father’s Day weekend.
One thing Brad might want to do with his free time, says the insider, is hit the gym. “Brad’s character in Moneyball, Oakland A’s manager Billy Beane, is in the kind of shape Brad used to be in, but anyone who’s looked at photos of him recently can see this is not the ripped hottie from Fight Club,” explains the insider. “Maybe he should stop riding his motorcycle and take a spinning class.”

As anyone who’s ever read one of Lindsay Lohan’s Tweets or blog posts, the scandal-happy star is not exactly an early bird. And we’re guessing that’s probably not news to the actress’ neighbors, who reportedly tipped off the police to La Lohan’s late-night ways.
According to TMZ.com, Linds was apparently playing her music a little bit too loud for the taste of those within earshot of her Hollywood Hills home, because the LAPD were called out to knock on her door around 4:20am on Sunday morning.
LiLo was given a ticket for excessive noise, which is about as harsh as the couple of minutes she spent in prison in 2007.

Both Scarlett Johansson and Anne Hathaway are being courted for the lead role in the upcoming ‘Bride of Frankenstein’ remake.

The NY Post reports: Brian Grazer is remaking “The Bride of Frankenstein,” but this time, the female monster is going to be a babe. “She’ll be young. They’re looking for a person with great power and sex appeal,” a Hollywood insider told us.
“Someone along the lines of Scarlett Johansson or Anne Hathaway.” In the 1935 original, the frizzy-haired bride was played by bug-eyed English actress Elsa Lanchester.

Rihanna has a big date with Chris Brown today … along with a judge, a few lawyers and a courtroom full of onlookers.
RiRi is set to take the stand as a witness against Chris Brown in his preliminary hearing, which begins at 1:45 PM PT.
Rihanna’s testimony is hugely important. Will she stick to the story she told cops the night of the beating? Rihanna said Brown had beaten her before and the violence was escalating.
One big question — will Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, cross-examine Rihanna? If the case goes to trial Geragos will make a big point that Rihanna was the intial agressor, repeatedly hitting him before he began pounding on her.
Also hugely important …. the photos of Rihanna’s battered face. TMZ published one pic graphically showing the brutality of the beating. But that photo pales by comparison to photos taken the next day after the bruising and swelling settled. Those photos will almost certainly be introduced into evidence during the prelim.
The judge has rejected TV or livestream coverage.
