AnnaLynne McCord thinks it’s time for 90210 to jump over to Gossip Girl.

McCord says her 90210 character, Naomi Clark, would be a perfect match for Ed Westwick’s Chuck Bass.

“I think the Beverly Hills bad girl should team up with New York’s bad boy and have some fun,” McCord told me this morning from Washington, D.C. (more on that in a moment). “It would be naughty-naughty.”

And speaking of show crossovers, what about the possibility of 90210 and the upcoming Melrose Place revival?

“The producers have actually mentioned that to us,” McCord said. “We don’t know who or where or what or when yet, but they want that very much.”

So what was McCord doing in our nation’s capital?

McCord was in D.C. taking part in How It Ends, Invisible Children’s two-day event promoting legislation to help put an end to the horrific abduction of children in Central and East Africa by guerilla group leader Joseph Kony and his Lord’s Resistance Army.

“We’re lobbying and telling them what they need to do,” McCord said. “It’s for us as a human race to come together to fight this sin on humanity, because that’s what it is.”

Political activism is not new for the 21-year-old McCord. She’s been heavily involved with the Blind Project, which raises awareness about the sex trafficking of children.

She’s says she’s determined to land a meeting with Pres. Barack Obama someday to discuss her advocacy work.

“I’d say, ‘Hello, Mr. President. My name is AnnaLynne McCord and I think there is a service to the greater good that has to be done and you need to do it with me!’” McCord said. “That’s probably how it would start, and then I’d shake a little and might even cry just from nerves. But then I’d be like, ‘You’ve got to hear what I have to say.’ ”

There’s a lot of shouting happening in Kate Gosselin’s house. The mother of eight children – twins Mady and Cara, 8, and sextuplets Alexis, Collin, Leah, Hannah, Aaden and Joel, 5 – has barely had time to change out of her morning workout clothes before her brood descends upon her, clinging to her legs and loudly wondering what to do given the rainy weather.

“Let’s do a project,” yells Kate, 34, above the clamor. The eight children race to the kitchen table and promptly pull out their construction paper and crayons to make Father’s Day cards for their conspicuously absent dad, who’ll receive them two days later.

“Will you help me draw a heart?” asks a giggling Collin. “I want lots of hearts.”

Lately, the family has seen lots of heartbreak, culminating with the news that Kate and Jon, 32, stars of the reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8, have decided to end their marriage.

“On a good day, I feel relief,” Kate says, curled up in a chair in her living room. “On a bad day, I feel failure.”
