Sarah Jessica Parker says she’s concerned for the safety and well-being of the surrogate through whom she and husband Matthew Broderick are expecting twin daughters.

The Sex and the City star said the heightened media attention has led to an invasion of the woman’s privacy, Access Hollywood reports.

The surrogate’s telephone and computer have been hacked into, and she has received threats, Parker says, adding that the stress has taken its toll on her, and she worries about the surrogate “and the safe delivery of our children.”

“I care deeply about her, and I am incredibly outraged by the sort of extraordinary and unprecedented invasion of her privacy,” Parker says in the interview, which airs Tuesday. “I think even given the unfortunate way we live now … it has still shocked me, and it has still really disappointed me.”

Still, the star, 44, doesn’t regret using a surrogate.

“Well, you know, we’ve been trying to expand our family for a number of years and we actually have explored a variety of ways of doing so,” she says. “This was one of the things we discussed with seriousness that had real possibilities for us.”

The actress — who has a son, James Wilkie, 6, with her husband — adds: “It would be a complicated — it would be odd to have made this choice if I was able to, you know, have successful pregnancies since my son’s birth.”

Terri Seymour - Simon Cowell’s ex – was assaulted after attending the “American Idol” finale last night.

It happened at L.A. Live – a complex that includes the Nokia Theatre where “A.I.” was taped. A 33-year-old woman walked up to Terri, asked if she was Simon’s girlfriend. The suspect allegedly attacked her and attempted to choke her.

The suspect – Janice Thibodeaux – was booked on felony battery. She’s being held on $52,700 bail.

We’re told Terri refused medical treatment. She was escorted out of the complex by three cops.

Thibodeaux is twice Terri’s size, weighing in at 200 lbs.

UPDATE: TMZ spoke with Thibodeaux’s brother and sister who told us Janice is “not crazy” and this is “way out of character” for her.

Bristol Palin’s pretty, lightly freckled face was nowhere to be seen on the overhead screen as images from her high-school senior slideshow – photos from the prom and a Class of 2009 portrait set against the Alaska snow – played during May 14′s Wasilla High commencement ceremony.

Bristol Palin, 18, has logged more of those “other things” than some people twice her age. In just the past nine months, she weathered her mother’s bruising vice-presidential run; a failed engagement to boyfriend Levi Johnston that played out in the national media; and, most indelibly, a pregnancy that made her both mother and poster child. She is uncertain where she will go to college – she’s thinking of a two-year business program – but says her near future will include advocating for teen-pregnancy prevention.

“Girls need to imagine and picture their life with a screaming newborn baby and then think before they have sex,” she tells PEOPLE. “Think about the consequences.”

Her mom may be governor, but there is no nanny in the Palin house. Bristol gets up – usually twice during the night – to feed Tripp, who sleeps in a hand-me-down crib in her bedroom, and she says she has tapped out at least one school paper with her son crying in the background. She breastfed her baby for a month, pumping milk before class and rushing straight home to feed him. And she worked two part-time jobs to help pay for the diapers and formula her parents otherwise supply.

“If girls realized the consequences of sex, nobody would be having sex,” says Bristol, sitting at her parents’ lakeside patio table. “Trust me. Nobody.”

As for her breakup with Levi, 19, with whom she’s still trying to resolve child support and visitation issues, Bristol says it was for the best. “I’m thankful we didn’t get married because if it wasn’t going to work now, it wasn’t going to work in five years.”

Twilight co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have spent innumerable late nights together at clubs since filming began on the movie’s sequel, New Moon, in Vancouver, British Columbia. But on May 13, they took the next step in their relationship: meeting the parents! Kristen bonded with Rob’s folks, Richard and Clare Pattinson, over Kobe beef meatballs during the actor’s 23rd birthday dinner at Glowbal Grill & Satay Bar in Vancouver. “Kristen and Rob have amazing chemistry,” their co-star Elizabeth Reaser told Life & Style at The Bash charity event on May 17 in LA. “They’re great together.”

That’s bad news for the actress’ longtime boyfriend, Michael Angarano. He visited the Vancouver set of New Moon twice since March, but it did little to keep Rob and Kristen from strengthening their connection. “It’s intense when you do such an intense project,” Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke told Life & Style at the ASCAP Awards in LA on May 11. “Robert and Kristen are interested in each other, like a fascination.”

And it’s been that way from the very start. “To decide who was going to be Edward, I had chemistry reads over at my house on my bed,” Catherine tells Life & Style, “and when it was Rob and Kristen together, you could just tell … this is it.”

I’d like to hear more about the “chemistry reads” on the directors bed…hmmm…

Shawn Johnson has a new trophy to add to her collection of Olympic medals!

The 17-year-old gymnast won Dancing With the Stars Tuesday night. She and professional dance partner Mark Ballas beat out fellow finalists Gilles Marini and Melissa Rycroft on the ABC show’s season finale

“I’ve learned I can be more than just a gymnast!” Johnson, the third Olympian in eight seasons to win the mirrorball prize, told Usmagazine.com. “I’ve really grown as a person. This has really changed my life. This whole thing has been the time of my life — just an amazing experience.”

All three finalists performed one last dance, each earning a perfect score of 30 from the judges. After viewer votes were combined with the judges’ scores, Rycroft was dismissed first.

Show host Tom Bergeron said “less than one percent” separated Johnson and runner-up Marini, who was paired with pro dancer Cheryl Burke.

Johnson and Ballas were completely shocked when they were announced as winners.

“I was blown away — absolutely floored!” Ballas, who hit the ground when they found out they won, told Us.

Johnson adds: “Especially when they said less than one percent! I could not believe it!”

Why did they deserve the top prize?

“Shawn has improved every week, [and] she’s really peaked over the last three weeks with the samba, the tango — they all showed consistent improvement,” Ballas told Us. “Then we came out and gave everything we had to the freestyle. We are so honored and want to tell the fans thank you for voting for us.”
