   I’m sure it wasn’t the parents …. their whole life is a free ride.
   I don’t know if I could live with myself, if I lived off my children?

   It was filmed just recently (during the drama) and I still see wedding rings. I hope they work it out. Those kids need both of them and a stable home.

   I loved to watch them when this show first started because she was so amazing with the kids and scheduling everything. Now she just yells at John and it is uncomfortable to watch and all they do is go on vacations. They no longer lead normal lives.

   um, maybe theyre trying to give the kids a nice bday and not involve them in mommy and daddys fight? not saying they arent bottom feeders, but i think throwing the party may be for the kids

   Yeah, I am sure you couldnt Cherries. You could probably get a job that would support you and 8 kids..lol Dont knock them until you have been in their shoes.
   I hate when people are quick to pass judgement on someone else, like they are friggin perfect.
   When you fall off that high horse, I hope you dont break nothing!

   They have a jumparound – pinatas – balloons – etc.

   I do that for my kids’ birthdays. It’s not like the party was OH SO ELABORATE. Calm down.

   Secondly, they have problems – and I don’t agree with the decisions they made…but I don’t doubt for one moment that they love their children. They may have been “acting” cordial to one another, but MANY troubled/divorced parents do that for their children.

   What would you have preferred? Should they have been ripping eachother’s heads off in front of the kids on their birthday. Please.

   FURTHERMORE, the show started out completely differently than it is now. Everyone is slamming them, but I would love to have more money for my children. If I could get millions from a TV show, that would also mean alot for my family. Money doesn’t make someone happy (obviously) but it’s sure nice to be able to give your kids a good home, wonderful vacations, and fully paid for, college educations.

   Walk in other people’s shoes.

   Hmmm the only time Kate spends with her children is when she’s getting paid for it. Putting on quite the ‘act’ once again. There are no winners here, sad for everyone, especially the kids. I love how she had 2 bodyguards at the party, I guess she’s worried about one of the invited kids, or their parents, attacking her, lol.

    The kids are adorable. I like the dad. The mom is a horror. I hope the show stops so all 8 of the kids can have a normal life with a little privacy.

    We’re all being duped. Tactical brilliance. This the is new highly evolved “family” reality show. The PR, paps, tabloids, talk shows, even Aunt Jodi/Kevin, are all carefully orchestrated/scripted. Everyone is cashing in on the J&K8 brand. Step back, and OBJECTIVELY analyze any one of the recent pics. Take away the nefarious accusations and they all mean absolutely nothing. Shame on them for willingly tarnishing their own reputations to create “buzz”. The twins probably understand it’s called “working the system” (however depraved). If J/K really do still love each other the kids win and that’s all that matters. It does not change the fact, however that the kids need to be off the air. Their parents are not acting responsibly.

    I really like Kate. She is prickly but she has personality. She seems to work very hard to make a nice life for all of them.
    Jon seems to be a real loser. He can’t do much of anything, has a pouty personality and seems really immature. He needs to get over himself and try to help Kate out so the family can have a nice space to live in, good food, health care, clothes and trips.
    She’s a wonder.

    Connie, what planet do you live on? Kate is verbally abusive, barks orders, sits in her chair, “fixes food” that the cooks and nannies prepare, and thinks she’s “all that plus a bag of potato chips”…her kids come last in order of priority…get real.

    I just saw where Kates brother and sister-in-law said that Kate had Jon to sign a contract that he could see whoever as long as he showed up for the show.They say Jon and Kate know how they feel- very interesting.I think they gave one interview and the site is just showing parts of it at a time.They are saying something to that laws should be checked into and that the show is not reality and they seem worried how the children will be effected. We all know Jon seemed like he did not want to film anymore. I believe Kates brother and wife- I think Kate told Jon that it was over and they should see other people.Sad- The show should end – It’s just all about money and not the about the children-Sad!!!! I will not watch anymore.

    Kate has Narcissistic Personality Disorder and should not be allowed unsupervised time with her children. Jon & her family should force her into treatment.

    My goodness! How \"hands on\" can Kate be? We know it must have been a struggle for Kate to touch her little boys, the little boys of which Kate has said, \"Boys are just so … dirty!\"

    It must be hard for Jon to be so near Kate.

    What a sham these people are. TLC should be ashamed. Kate is such a shrew, gold digger and narcissistic witch.

    The party happened a week after the kids’ actual birthday. It was organized, paid for, promoted and staged by TLC as an episode for ‘Jon and Kate Plus Eight’.

    Kate made her usual cameo appearance as a stay-at-home mom and then hit the road again to flog her book and promote her ‘reality’ show. Seems like the kids are pretty much raising themselves these days.

    All I was saying by that is they started off the show ’showing’ how it is to raise 8 children. He worked and she stayed home with the kids. Now they both don’t work, and he is off at bars, and she is off doing shows and stuff.
    I hate to break this to you but they aren’t the first family to have 8 children, its just they had the 6 at one time, ad the twins.

    As for me I have three children and I am able to stay home and take care of them since my husband has a good job.

    They wedding rings were on just for the camera. I am a HUGE fan of the show and am in love with the kids. say what you want but, those kids are just trying to have a normal life. jon and kate are doing their best.

    Kate reminds me of my sister. I began to lose my self confidence and started to keep my mouth shut because nothing I said or did was right. Everything was negative, degrading, and mean. I finally woke up and cut all ties with her. I don’t regret it. I think Jon feels beaten down probably thinks “why do I even try”. Does anyone remember the epsidoe where she birates him for not using a coupon?

    To KittyKitty…A lot of moms I know don’t have a “party” for their child on the actual day. They might take the child out to eat or have a little family thing on the actual day. They might have to wait a few days to do it on the weekend, when school is out, when most of their child’s friends can make it. It can be for a number of reasons, so don’t beat up Kate and Jon for having the party a week after the actual day.

    I’m clear on my perspective now that the media has smacked me in the face with Gosselins at every check-out counter. Kate is the family breadwinner and, as such, she’s pragmatic,distracted, a bit of a control freak and a little insensitive (because she’s BUSY). Most moms are a little crazy so all she needs is a good publicist. If you do the math, they’ll first be faced with two college tuitions followed immediately by six tuitions at one time. Ouch, I’d do a reality show too! lol The only ‘real’ thing I know about this couple is that they have a history, a bunch of gorgeous, precious kids together and are like the rest of us, fallible human beings.
