When model Sigrid Argen asked the Chanel headmaster how to become a supermodel he had quite a lot of advice:
“It’s not being perfect. What one needs is a face that people can identify in a second..other models today, people think, Is she this one or that one?
It depends on what you are ready to give, the kind of life you bring, what may be exciting or disappointing … You can’t accuse anyone of not doing enough to help you, because, besides yourself, there’s nothing anyone can do. You have to be given what’s needed by nature, and what’s needed is to bring something new. But it’s the most … (hits hand on table) unjust … (hits hand on table) thing in the world.”

Rupert Everett’s dashing good looks were getting a little droopy. But now he’s more than ready for his close-up!
The actor, currently starring in Blithe Spirit on Broadway, debuted a fresh-faced new look on The Martha Stewart Show on April 10. And he doesn’t just have makeup artists to thank.
According to Dr. Brian S. Glatt, founder of the Premier Plastic Surgery Center of New Jersey, Rupert, 49, has had a comprehensive series of facial procedures. “I think Rupert had a face-lift,” Dr. Glatt tells Star. “His cheeks are fuller and lifted, and his jawline and neck are pulled back and smoother.”
As for his forehead, Dr. Glatt says it’s simply Botox. “I think he’s definitely using it. He is very animated, and there are no lines visible on his forehead.”
The last element in Rupert’s new look, says Dr. Glatt, is a chin implant! “The shape and projection of the chin is drastically different. It’s much more pointed,” he says.
In all, the surgeries could have set Rupert back almost $25,000!
But it was worth it. Dr. Glatt, who has not treated the actor, observes, “This is an impressive difference. He looks 10 years younger!”

The new Sex and the City movie will see Samantha Jones struggle for money.
In the highly-anticipated sequel which will be released in May 2010 PR guru Samantha, played by Kim Cattrall, will struggle to curb her lavish lifestyle.
A source told MSNBC: The proposed story line for Samantha will be her having to downsize her big-spending life after some of her investments get wiped out.
You will see her having to survive on a more modest budget but still staying true to her fabulous taste.
It was recently reported Samantha won’t be the only one to lose money.
The movie’s main character Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, will move to London with her husband Mr. Big after his business in New York starts to suffer.
A source said: “The sequel will include key scenes of Carrie and Big in London, possibly shooting this winter for six weeks.
“Big loses a lot of money and takes a job in London, living alone in a one-bedroom apartment. Big gets really low and ends up in bed with another woman. After she leaves him Carrie discovers she is pregnant.”
However, the storyline may have to be scrapped after it was revealed Chris Noth, who plays Big, is the only member from the first movie not to have signed on to reprise his role.
The first Sex and the City film was released on May 30 2008 and raked in $412 million worldwide.

In her latest GOOP newsletter, she reveals that “back in the day, I had a ‘frenemy’ who, as it turned out, was pretty hell-bent on taking me down.”
“This person really did what they could to hurt me. I was deeply upset, I was angry, I was all of those things you feel when you find out that someone you thought you liked was venomous and dangerous. I restrained myself from fighting back. I tried to take the high road,” she continues.
“But one day I heard that something unfortunate and humiliating had happened to this person,” writes Paltrow. “My reaction was deep relief and…happiness. There went the high road.”
Justjared suggests she could be referring to Winona Ryder, who was arrested in 2001 for shoplifting an estimated $4,760 worth of clothes from Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills.
Paltrow signs off by asking, “So, why does it feel so good to hear something bad about someone you don’t like? Or someone you DO like? Or someone you don’t KNOW?”
So she asked a tabloid newspaper editor “why all of the stories about a famous British couple had a negative bent.”
“He said that when the headline was positive, the paper didn’t sell,” Paltrow continues. “Why is that? What’s wrong with us? I asked the sages to shed a little light. Here’s to washing our mouths out with soap… Love, Gwyneth.”
