Yay! I really liked her!
Jillian Harris — who finished in third place on the recent controversial installment of The Bachelor — will headline the new season of The Bachelorette, ABC announced Tuesday night.
“I am so excited,” said Harris, 29, an interior designer from Canada.
She jokingly thanked Jason Mesnick for giving her the chance to have 25 men compete for her affections.
“It’s a very unorthodox way to find love. but we are living in a world where people are doing things differently,” she said.
“It’s a great opportunity for me,” she added. “I fell in love once before and I know this is a great venue for me to fall in love again.”
“Seeing what Jason went through makes you realize there’s no guarantees in life,” she went on. “I only hope I make the right choice the first time.”
Harris also made one promise about the new season: “I don’t need my dad to see any more hot tub scenes.”
The Bachelor and The Bachelorette host Chris Harrison said Harris “really captured America’s heart and the groundswell of support for her to become the new Bachelorette was overwhelming.”
The show debuts May 18.

Former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants are slamming Jason Mesnick for dumping fiancee Melissa Rycroft for Molly Malaney on Monday’s final,
On his Facebook page, season 10′s Andy Baldwin wrote: “Andy is glad when he was the Bach. He was a man and didn’t sell his soul and cave. Such a sellout.”
Later, he posted: “You do NOT break up on national television. That is the opposite of a gentleman.”
Trista Sutter — the only reality star to wed after the show — was also shocked that Mesnick (who has a son, Ty, 4) “would propose to one woman, introduce her to his child and then hook up with a new woman.”
“How could you go from being engaged to someone, to kissing someone else on the couch?!” she fumed to Momlogic.com. “He doesn’t deserve to walk away scot-free.”
“What disappointed me as a mom is that he introduced both girls to Ty,” she went on. “Melissa was around, and now she’s gone. What is Ty going to think?”
Sutter — who is expecting her second child with husband Ryan — said she sent a text message to Melissa that said, “‘I’m proud of the way you handled it.’”
Added Sutter, “She deserves so much better! Melissa hasn’t been able to say anything about this until now, so I think she’s relieved. I am happy she can finally move on. As far as I’m concerned, this is a blessing in disguise. Now she can find someone who truly loves her.”
Sutter called Mesnick “obviously fickle” and warned Molly against jumping into a relationship with him after the way he treated Melissa.
“How can you trust him?” she said.
On Monday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Mesnick defended his decision to dump Melissa.
“How was I supposed to lead somebody on, or keep on going, if it really wasn’t there?” he said. “That’s the honest truth.”

Usher is slamming Chris Brown over weekend photos that show the troubled 19-year-old singer smiling and riding around on jet skis in Miami.
In a video for Jermaine Dupri’s “Living the Life” series, Usher is seen around a laptop talking about a series of photos with some other men in a recording studio.
“I’m a little disappointed in this photo,” Usher says about the shots of Brown. “After the other photo [of Rihanna's bruised face posted by TMZ]? C’mon, Chris. Have a little bit of remorse, man. The man’s on jet skis? Like, just relaxing in Miami?”
Brown — who is to be arraigned Thursday for allegedly assaulting Rihanna Feb. 8 in L.A. — and Rihanna were staying at a house owned by Sean “Diddy” Combs on Star Island.
Though Rihanna wasn’t spotted, Brown was photographed several times over the weekend, smiling, riding a jet ski and flexing his arm muscles. Despite reports, he did not party with Khloe Kardashian and Reggie Bush Saturday night at the Gansevoort South Hotel.
Both Brown and Rihanna were photographed arriving in L.A. Monday.

Okay, it’s just tooooooooooo easy.
