An ET producer spoke to a devastatedHoward K. Stern right after he posted bond last night. Stern turned himself in after being charged with six felony counts for allegedly conspiring to provide Anna Nicole Smith with massive amounts of prescription drugs. Our producer said Stern certainly plans to fight the charges.

Howard’s father, Leon Stern tells ET the charges against his son are, “not true.”

Dr. Khristine Eroshevich was also charged and sources tell ET she will surrender on Monday, March 16, 2009. ET sat down with Dr. Eroshevich back in March 2007 as she reacted to the speculation surrounding her medical treatment of Anna Nicole. On how many medications she was prescribing to Anna at the time of her death, Eroshevich said, “By then she was on maybe 4 or 5 medications. Some of them were routine and some were as needed. We were talking about even cutting back.”

When asked if she was afraid to have her medical license revoked, Eroshevich told ET, “Not really. I would hope that who I am and what I do represents the quality of service I provide. The same thing I’m saying now I would say to the medical board. I feel like I did the right thing. I feel confident.” (more…)

Forget the trappings of show business. All Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams needed for the perfect wedding were a tiny old brick church, a pastor they just met, a pair of silver bands and each other.

“She was thrilled to be getting married. She was giddy but not in a childish way. She was obviously so happy,” Pastor Steve Schulte, who married the couple this week at Whitefield Chapel at Bethesda Home for Boys on the outskirts of Savannah, Ga., tells PEOPLE exclusively.

The couple, who just got engaged last month, arranged for a last-minute ceremony, with one of their reps calling Schulte just the day before, saying a judge wasn’t available and asking if the pastor could officiate. “I thought it was either somebody famous or somebody really bad,” says Schulte, who agreed to the job, bringing along only a friend, wedding planner Chad Baker – and that was because they had another wedding event later in the day. Nicole Richie threw a lavish birthday party last night for boyfriend Joel Madden on the terrace of the Sunset Tower hotel.

The reality star and jewelry designer left baby Harlow at home for the boisterous affair celebrating the rocker’s 30th birthday. More than 35 friends packed the tented terrace, which was closed off for the evening. The terrace—which has a stunning view of the Los Angeles lights—was presided over by discreet yet formidable security.

“There was a lot of laughing and even some speeches,” one nearby diner noted of the party. “Nicole and Joel were nestled in the center of the big group and they looked as happy as they could be to be celebrating with their friends. They were beaming in the soft terrace lighting.”

While the likes of Sharon Stone and Drew Barrymore dined separately inside the restaurant, the rocker-bash carried on enthusiastically outside.

The dinner was three courses and “there was a lot of prime-looking steak” delivered to the table. The highlight of the evening was a rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday” accompanied by a massive birthday cake. “It was so big that I am surprised that thing didn’t set off the fire alarms,” our diner noted.

Katherine Heigl’s character Dr. Izzie Stevens revealed she’s dying of cancer on last night’s Grey’s Anatomy — a scoop Us Weekly first reported eight months ago.

On the show, Izzie asked her interns do diagnose “Patient X” — which they don’t know is really her. Lexie (Chyler Leigh) discovers it’s metastatic melanoma — skin cancer — and it’s spread to her brain. (Which explains those hallucinations earlier this season of her dead ex Denny Ducette, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.)

“The girl’s pretty much toast,” an intern says. “Survival rate is five percent,” adds another.

In July, Us Weekly reported show higher ups were considering killing Heigl off after she withdrew from Emmy contention because she didn’t feel she was “given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination.”

“[Producer] Shonda [Rhimes] and the writers are pissed at her,” the source told Us then, adding that producers were considering giving her a brain tumor. “It’s their way of screwing with her. She won’t know whether she’s going to live or die.”

(“If her character does get a brain tumor, she’ll probably get an Emmy!” a source joked to Us.)

ABC denied Izzie would die, saying, “Katherine is absolutely staying with the show.” Rhimes also said “No” when asked about the plot.

In February, James Pickens Jr. (hospital chief Dr. Richard Webber) confirmed to Usmagazine.com that she’s leaving the show.

“Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best,” he told Us.

“Katherine is ready to move on to the next chapter,” a set source told Us then.

Also out the door, according to Pickens: T.R. Knight. “He just wanted to pursue other career paths,” he told Us at the NAACP Awards luncheon.

Rhimes also claims that’s “not true,” so stay tuned.
