Another 90210-er may be making a stop in the Twilight zone.
I’m hearing that filmmakers have been considering the idea of casting 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord as Heidi in the upcoming New Moon, the much-anticipated sequel to Twilight.
Heidi isn’t a major character in the book, but McCord definitely has the gorgeous looks to pull it off.
The character is a “fisher” who brings humans to the Volturi vampires to eat. She’s also known as “bait” because of the way she uses her stunning looks to attract humans. In her brief appearance in the book, Bella describes Heidi as having “exceptional, unforgettable” beauty. She has stunning legs, long hair and violet eyes.
Sources tell me McCord has auditioned for the role. “It’s not a big part,” one of the sources said. “Heidi would be more like a cameo.”
McCord should feel pretty comfortable on the set. Her 90210 costar Kellan Lutz—and rumored real-life boyfriend—played Emmett in Twilight and will return for the sequel.
McCord’s rep did not immediately comment nor did a rep for the studio, Summit Entertainment.
Sidenote: I went to Borders last night to pick up The Reader (sooooooooo excited to read it!!) and there was this huge display of Twilight merchandise. It’s crazy/creepy how much stuff there was! There were buttons, clothes, jewelry, bookmarks, bobbleheads, I mean you name it!
According to Ashley Judd, the biggest threat to wolves in Alaska is the elephant. In particular, the one running the state.
The actress and activist has teamed up with the animal rights group Defenders of Wildilfe for a campaign aimed at stopping Alaska’s aerial hunting practices, in which well-armed “sportsmen” shoot at bears and wolves from airplanes. Judd and pals have targeted one of practice’s chief proponents, Gov. Sarah Palin.
“Palin is again casting aside science and championing the slaughter of wildlife,” Judd said in a video for the cause. “It is time to stop Sarah Palin and stop this senseless savagery.”
The group is seeking donations to help end the predator control program by proposing new federal legislation.
The governor, who was targeted by the group last fall in the run-up to the presidential election, declared the Defenders of Wildlife an “extreme fringe group” that is “twisting the truth.” She further called out their “reprehensible and hypocritical” use of her state and herself to boost fundraising.
Palin maintains that the predatory animals are decimating the moose and caribou populations in the state, which Alaskans depend on for “food and cultural practices.”
The CW soap Gossip Girl is planning a season-ending story line loosely inspired by Anne Hathaway’s infamous (and fizzled) romance with Rafaello Follieri.
Though she won’t confirm or deny the story’s Hathaway-esque twists, executive producer Stephanie Savage reveals that Serena’s beau is “very well traveled, part of the global elite. He’s not a brooding artist like Dan or Aaron Rose. He’s definitely a grown-up, and that’s something Serena is very attracted to.”
Grey’s Anatomy stars, Ellen Pompeo and Katherine Heigl hang out as buddies away from their TV set job. The gals enjoy the taste of fine champagne during breakfast. The bubbles seem to lighten the girls spirits sharing a few merry laughs during their brunch.
Miley Cyrus is finally speaking out on controversial photos that show her using her fingers to make her eyes slant (that’s her, third from the left), which is considered degrading to Asian people. She took to her website to apologize.
I’ve also been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces! Well, I’m sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong and out of context!
In NO way was I making fun of any ethnicity! I was simply making a goofy face. When did that become newsworthy? It seems someone is trying to make something out of nothing to me. If that would of [sic] been anyone else, it would of been overlooked! I definitely feel like the press is trying to make me out as the new ‘BAD GIRL’!
I feel like now that Britney is back on top of her game again, they need someone to pick on! Lucky me! haha Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know what is on my heart. You guys know me and have been by my side every step of the way!
You guys know my heart and know the most important things to me are my friends, family, fans, and GOD! In NO WAY do I want to disappoint any of you! But, when I have made mistakes in the past, I feel like I’ve owned up to them and apologized.
I really wish everyone would stop focusing on my personal life and get back to focusing on what I love! Music and Acting! Hopefully, I will be touring again this fall! Yayy! =] It will be a nice change to be back out on the road again!

This isn’t the first time Cyrus has been slammed for photos.
In April 2008, she was criticized by parenting groups after pictures surfaced of her posing in green bra. A few months later, she apologized after posing semi-nude in Vanity Fair.
