Jennifer Love Hewitt: Size Doesn’t Matter!

Jennifer Love Hewitt isn’t a stranger to body-image pressure in Hollywood. After some unflattering photos from a Hawaiian vacation spurred negative comments about her body, she spoke out against the old size 0 norms. “It’s realistic to feel good about yourself and to be as happy as you can be,” Jennifer tells Life & Style in an exclusive interview. “If it’s a size 12, then it’s a size 12. If it’s a size 0, then it’s a size 0. Size doesn’t matter.” And altering her own size — she’s shed almost 20 pounds from her 5-foot-2½ frame since last April — is something she insists she’s doing only for her health. “My goal was to be in the best shape I could possibly be in by my 30th birthday,” the Ghost Whisperer star, who turned the big 3-0 on Feb. 21, tells Life & Style. “I just want to live a long, healthy life, and you have to keep yourself active if you’re going to do that.”

“I think wanting to be a size 0 is a bizarre, delusional goal. I think you should be whatever your healthy body wants you to be.”—Kristen Bell
