Salma Hayek Breastfeeds A Strangers Baby
Salma Hayek breastfed a stranger’s baby during visit to war-torn Sierra Leone. The 42-year-old, who has a one-year-old daughter Valentina, was touring a hospital when she came across a mother who was unable to feed her baby boy. Although TV cameras were there from ABC’s Nightline news program, the actress did not hesitate.

at first i was a little creeped out by this, but then i thought about it a little more. i think that if i were in a situation where i saw a baby starving and i was still breastfeeding and i could help that child i just might have done the same thing.

On the whole i am wierded out by this whole kind of thing, but to be fair, the child was starving, its mother was not producing any milk, Salma was there and she was able to feed it. At the end of the day she helped a hungry child. And im sure its mother was so happy to see her child satisfied.

whats the controversy here!? the poor baby is starving and with the ridiculous size of salma’s breasticles she should have fed the whole town, why just one baby? she could single handidly end 3rd world hunger! you go girl!

Really, really stupid. The world is full of blacks looking for handouts. This is a new low for blacks – which is really saying something.
It takes a sick person to do what Salma Hayak did. Is she that special? What next Salma? You’re so special that you’re better able to afford to raise a kid so you just steal the kid and never give it back.

Lyn You are the sick one, anyone who thinks helping a starving baby is wrong is very sick in the head .And I really can’t see why color makes it any any thing other than feeding a hungry baby

I think what she did was beautiful and I hope if I was in the same circumstance I would do the same. It was a beautiful and selfless act and when you the see the matter of fact way she went about it you see she is an incredible woman and must be an amazing mother.

Couldn’t agree more Kristal, she a testament to the power of womanhood – giving and sustaining life, even the life of another woman’s child.
I cannot understand the disgust that many are displaying over this. I am only 21 and not even close to wanting kids of my own, yet even I can see what a natural and gentle gesture this was. There is nothing remotely weird or sexual about it as some people have suggested on other sites; As far as a one-week-old infant is concerned breast = food. End of story.
When stories emerge of sick or orphaned animals being paired with a surrogate mother, even a mother of another species (piglets with a tiger for example), we all let out a collective “Aaahhhhh”. This is no different.
Well done Salma. Your daughter is lucky to have a mother as open minded and generous of spirit as you.

She is an amazing person and has a heart of gold. I don’t know many people that would of done something so selfless. I see her in a whole new light . To Lyn who wrote about the baby being black. Grow up and get a life!!!.

A baby is a baby and they dont see color! We are all created from one man and women, Adam and Eve. I have a new found respect for Salma.

She is amazing and I love that there was no hesitation, because this is natural and nothing is wrong with it. Many women will donate extra breast milk to help premies and other starving babies.

The fact that anyone is “creeped out” by this shows just how far removed we are from what nature intended. Before commercial formula was available wet nurses were used all the time. I think it’s bizarre that we’ll all drink cow’s milk without hesitation but be grossed out by a starving baby being beastfed by another woman.
