Hilary Duff, Faye Dunaway Feud Over Bonnie & Clyde Role
Hilary Duff is set to reprise Faye Dunaway’s legendary role as Bonnie in the indie remake of The Story of Bonnie and Clyde — and Dunaway is not pleased.
“Couldn’t they have at least cast a real actress?” Dunaway said last week.
Duff retaliated against Dunaway Tuesday.
“I think that my fans that are going to go see the movie don’t even know who she is, so you know….” she told E!. “I think it was a little unnecessary but I might be mad if I looked like that now too.”
The pair haven’t always feuded.
Duff paid homage to Dunaway in a May 2008 Allure photo shoot inspired by the 1967 flick.

Lola, Duff had every right to defend herself. C’mon, don’t be a ridiculous. Dunaway is entirely in the wrong here.

Duff needs to learn some respect. While what Dunaway said was rude, Duff shouldn’t have gone down that route. I’d fire her for saying that. It puts a whole new arrogance on Duff that actually makes her the unattractive one. She should have just something like, I hope I can change her mind on that after she sees the movie.

I think Dunaway was right to defend something she helped create and build.. I to think they could have cast a better actress for the remake. This is like comparing Miley Cyrus to Madonna.. Come on now!!! The movie will not be a success, sadly due to Duff.

Get over it scooter, I’m sure if someone says somehting about you you would defended yourself too. Come on, don’t lie. I’m glad Duff said something because when I 1st read that I thought that was uncalled for.

letitbe – If someone had said something about me, I wouldn’t have taken the lowest possible route to stand up for myself, at least not on camera. She proved Faye Dunaway right and she did it on film. Nicely done Horseface – let’s see what YOU look like when you’re in your 60′s, darling.
