Jake Gyllenhaal is just like Us!

The star spent the day doing his civic duty as a prospective juror in a misdemeanor battery case in an L.A. courthouse, TMZ.com reports.

Gyllenhaal was spotted sitting in a corner of the jury assembly room Tuesday morning. The actor had not yet been picked but was still seen waiting at the courthouse as of 6 p.m. EST.

TMZ said that Gyllenhaal, who was wearing a baseball cap and jacket, was told to take off his hat inside the courtroom.
