Melissa George leaves Grey’s Anatomy!

Melissa George’s days on Grey’s Anatomy were always numbered, but now comes word her last day is Tuesday.
“It was my choice,” George told EW.com’s Michael Ausiello of her decision to leave the show.
The actress’ deal with the ABC medical drama had an option for her to become a series regular (like Kevin McKidd’s Dr. Owen Hunt), but show insiders say that their parting was more of a mutual decision and that George’s character Sadie Harris’s story line came to a natural end.
But unlike some of her other Grey’s predecessors (Brooke White and Isaiah Washington), George is leaving on the good terms — and has nothing but glowing praise for her cast mates. George said, “I’ve made some beautiful friends. I love T.R. Knight. I love Patrick Dempsey, Justin Chambers … I adore Ellen Pompeo. I think she’s a strong, incredible woman. And Katherine Heigl is the most beautiful creature on Earth.”
As for her exit from the series, “it won’t be a big send off, but it’s really cool what they do,” George added.

I agree. Looks like the Jessica Capshaw character will be the next in line for Callie from what I have read. *sigh* when will they just leave the lesbian storyline alone.

that heigl comment was just her way of saying, “we’re not friends but i believe in not burning my bridges.”
please note that the statement in no way reflects her actual feelings the way the other statements do.

Maybe its just me but I always equate creature with monster. I just seems like such a slick put down.

Didn’t really care for her anyway. I didn’t think she fit in.

I actually liked her on the show. She wasn’t boring. Ever since Addison left I’ve been fiending for some feisty chick as a replacement. ah well.
