What did you think of the Nip/Tuck premiere?

I’ll put this discussion behind the cut, for those of you that haven’t seen it yet. C’mon over!
Last night’s “premiere” of Nip/Tuck was just what we’ve come to love (?) and expect from the hit FX show. The last season of Nip/Tuck was interrupted by the writer’s strike, and last night’s “premiere” picked up where season 5 left off. There are only 8 episodes to come, but rumor has it – Nip/Tuck WILL be back for season 6!
So last night we found out what happened to Sean McNamara after being stabbed by the crazy Colleen Rose. He survives (though in a wheelchair) and kills Colleen himself. While we learn that Sean doesn’t in fact need the wheelchair, he is teaching instead of performing surgeries.
We find out that Christian Troy has breast cancer (yes, I said breast cancer), and he and Liz get extremely close. It seemed weird to me that Christian found out he had cancer – and beat it, all in the same episode, but whatever.
I liked the 30 seconds at the end that showed what’s coming up in the next 8 episodes more than I actually liked the “premiere”. No matter how bad it gets, I’ll watch it – I can’t help it. I haven’t missed a single episode since the beginning.
What did you think of the episode? Can you believe they’re going to pair Christian and Liz?!

LOVED IT!! I am so ADDICTED to the show no matter what crazy shit they dream up!! It sucks that there will only be 8 more episodes though…

I love the show….but am so sick of Sean being a pansy. Now he’s faking the need of a wheelchair cause he’s scared to go back to work, but yet he can find it in him to teach. He is forever the “needy” one on the show….but did seem to make the waitress mighty happy! Ha!

It just hit me today, that Sean was FAKING being in the chair. I was thinking that he just so tired when he woke up that he “forgot” about the chair.
I’m not that bright late at night.
But I LOVED this episode. Liz is awesome… and the idea that Dr Troy’s perfect body is no longer perfect, is going to do a lot to his self image.

I love Nip/Tuck! I think the pairing of Liz and Christian seemed odd, but then I thought about it, and it’s totally something Christian would do. He will screw anything that walks. I think I rewound the upcoming previews about 5 times, to see if I could see what all Christian will be up too. It looks like it’s going to be another Great Season!

I love the show, but not sure about last night’s episode…seemed really fast paced to me and to be honest, not crazy about the breast cancer story line? I think I like Christian racy and healthy. I’m also a little tired of “poor me” Sean.

I love the show, love Julian and I will keep watching it, but……I must admit I was disappointed last night. After waiting so long I was hoping for a bit better.
