What did you think of the Nip/Tuck premiere?

I’ll put this discussion behind the cut, for those of you that haven’t seen it yet. C’mon over!
Last night’s “premiere” of Nip/Tuck was just what we’ve come to love (?) and expect from the hit FX show. The last season of Nip/Tuck was interrupted by the writer’s strike, and last night’s “premiere” picked up where season 5 left off. There are only 8 episodes to come, but rumor has it – Nip/Tuck WILL be back for season 6!
So last night we found out what happened to Sean McNamara after being stabbed by the crazy Colleen Rose. He survives (though in a wheelchair) and kills Colleen himself. While we learn that Sean doesn’t in fact need the wheelchair, he is teaching instead of performing surgeries.
We find out that Christian Troy has breast cancer (yes, I said breast cancer), and he and Liz get extremely close. It seemed weird to me that Christian found out he had cancer – and beat it, all in the same episode, but whatever.
I liked the 30 seconds at the end that showed what’s coming up in the next 8 episodes more than I actually liked the “premiere”. No matter how bad it gets, I’ll watch it – I can’t help it. I haven’t missed a single episode since the beginning.
What did you think of the episode? Can you believe they’re going to pair Christian and Liz?!
