“Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives,” says the statement.
“We have received many messages of condolence from around the world and we want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has meant so much to us. It is a beautiful reminder of the inherent goodness in the human spirit that gives us hope for a brighter future.”
Jett, 16, died Friday while on vacation with his family in the Bahamas.

Having two children, I can only imagine the pain you must be going through. Thank God for your faith and strength and strong family values.
My husband and I have admired you both from the very beginning. You conduct youselves with such style and grace. Through both your many movies, you have brought us such entertainment, I wish at this time there was some way we could help you.
I think it’s terrible the way you and your family are being hounded by the media at this time. What gives them the right to do what there doing and put your life in a fish bowl? Asking, demanding information that they have no right to. Please know Kelly and John that we are not all like that. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Heal from this tragedy and contiue to be the wonderful parents, people and actors you have always been.
