Winslet Got Over Weight Issues Thanks To DiCaprio

spl67210_0191.jpg

Kate Winslet has credited Leonardo DiCaprio with helping her get over her weight issues – after he confronted her 10 years ago on the set of their film Titanic.

The pair teamed up for the first time since the 1997 blockbuster for new movie Revolutionary Road.

Winslet is adamant DiCaprio’s pep talk on the set of the disaster movie helped her come to terms with her body issues.

But she admits she still struggles to deal with superstardom, more than a decade after the pair first teamed up.

Winslet says, “I’m still coming to terms with (fame) to be honest. I knew from when I was very, very young I wanted to be an actress. I certainly didn’t think it meant making films because to me that was something Judy Garland did.

“As a child, I was overweight and I was very chubby and I was always the wrong kid at the audition because my hair was wrong and the shoes didn’t fit. I did loose weight very sensibility when I was younger but those says are very much behind me.”

Turning to DiCaprio, she adds, “I remember you saying to me one day, ‘You’ve really got to let the whole fat girl thing go’. And that’s the truth, you’re right.”

Jennifer Aniston & Courteney Cox Spend Christmas Eve Together

For the sixth year in a row, Jennifer Aniston joined Courteney Cox, David Arquette and their 4-year-old daughter Coco for Christmas dinner at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills, CA.

Happiest to see Aniston was Coco, who greeted her godmother with a big kiss as soon as she sat down.

While waiting for their main course, Aniston and Cox went around to each person at the candelit table, leaning down to catch up.

Meanwhile, Aniston didn’t use the holiday as an excuse to fall off her diet. The Marley & Me star, who sat between Cox and her other BFF, hairstylist Chris McMillan skipped the bread basket and and kept it healthy, opting for white wine, asparagus, and lemon sole.

“She was going to order the petit filet but changed her mind,” a source told Usmagazine.com.

Later in evening, Cox got up to carry a barefoot Coco to the bathroom.

“The Grinch cut off her circulation and she had to take her shoes off,” Cox joked to people on the line – explaining that her daughter had buckled her shoes too tight and that’s why she took them off.

Also sharing Christmas eve dinner at Mastro’s Steakhouse? Pregnant How I Met Your Mother star Alyson Hannigan and her husband Alexis Denisof.

As for Cox and Aniston’s friendship, Cox said recently, “We never judge each other, we support each other, but we’re honest with each other too. I feel lucky to have her. Jen and I grew up together emotionally. We’ve been through huge life changes together.”

Sorry…

Well, after reading some of the comments you guys left over the holiday,  I can see that you weren’t too pleased I haven’t posted much in the last week.  I’m sorry some of you are left with no other option then to check out Perez Hilton. :) I needed to take some time off. It’s been a crazy holiday season.  The week of Christmas, Portland was hit with about 13 inches of snow, and most of us were snowed in with our kids for a week.  By time Christmas came around, I just really needed a break!  The snow finally let up enough that we could get out – and I have taken the last couple days to just re-coup.  I know you guys think I’m not posting as much – and that I have too many ads.  For one thing, the site is not cheap to run.  I have to pay for all these pictures – plus the cost of the server.  I don’t have a writer anymore, so it’s all me.  I’ve been doing the best I can, but I can see that you guys are wanting more – so I’m going to try and step up my game tomorrow.  I’ll do my best to add more posts to the cycle… Lately I’ve been posting 3 times an hour – so I’ll try and make it 4.  The holidays are over, so I won’t have to be gone as much.  I’ve been trying to keep everything going best I can, but obviously it’s upset some of you guys.

So my New Years Resolution is to post more!! I’ll post more starting tomorrow.  I’ll just lock my kids in their bedroom with Saltine’s and a chamberpot. :)

Anyway – I’ll post some more now, then start posting more tomorrow.

Jennifer Aniston’s doggy drama Marley & Me beat out Brad Pitt’s fantasy flick The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at the box office on Christmas Day Variety reported.

According to preliminary box office numbers, Marley & Me opened at No. 1 with $14.6 million in ticket sales – (making it the best opening ever for Dec. 25) while Pitt’s film set the record for the second-highest Christmas opening of all-time grossing $11.8 million.

Coming in third was Adam Sandler’s Bedtime Stories which raked in $10.4 million in sales, followed by Valkyrie starring Tom Cruise with $8.5 million.

Aniston wished Pitt success during her appearance on The Oprah Winfey show in November.

“We all want our movie to do well…Can we have a tie?” Aniston joked.

And though Aniston is leading in ticket sales – don’t feel sorry for Pitt.

He is up for Best Performance by an Actor in a Drama for his role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and scored Screen Actors Guild Award nod this month.
