Queen Latifah Robbed of $10,000 Worth of Jewelry

Over $10,000 worth of sentimental jewelry was stolen from Queen Latifah ’s luxury villa in Tobago, the Caribbean island’s local newspaper reports.
Tobago police told Trinidad and Tobago’s Newsday they believe a staff member of the $1,000-per-night Stone Haven Resort — where the Oscar-nominated star had been vacationing over Christmas — may have committed the crime.
“Several searches are being carried out and the police are trying to have the jewelry returned to Queen Latifah. Investigators said the larceny seems to be an inside job and efforts are being made round the clock to make a breakthrough,” acting police commissioner James Philbert told the newspaper.
Latifah may offer a reward for the jewelry in order to have it returned before she heads home from her vacation Wednesday, the paper reported.
