I need to see a grown up movie!

adam_sandler_bedtime_stories.jpg

So as I was saying earlier, Portland had some pretty nasty weather the last couple weeks. I’ve been couped up in the house forever!  Finally over Christmas the snow started to melt, and I was able to get out with the kids.  We went and saw Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler on Friday.  I thought it was a really cute kids movie. I love Keri Russell, and while I’m not a huge Adam Sandler fan, I actually thought he was pretty good in this movie.

PS: For those of you that saw it, can you believe Courteney Cox’s face?  Man, time to lay off the botox!  Pretty soon she’s going to look like Lisa Rinna!

Note to celeb women: Aging gracefully and naturally is so much more beautiful than tampering with your face! Say no to Botox!

Anyway, back to my point.  Did any of you lucky folk go see a grown up movie this week?  I’m dying to see Benjamin Button and Marley & Me (even though I heard that the dog is the best actor in the movie). What’s your opinion?  Which one should I see this week?

My girlfriends and I are going to try and get out to see Australia soon…I’ve wanted to see it forever, but we’ve all been so busy…

I did opt to see Benjamin Button instead of Marley and Me and I think I made a good choice! The movie was absolutely amazing! Easily the best movie I’ve seen in the last year or so. A definate must-see!

Oh, I also forgot to say that I opted against Marley and Me only because I heard that it’s incredibly sad. (My best friend read the book).

I can’t see Marley and Me becuase we lost our yellow lab on 12-21. We have put signs everywhere and checked the pound with no luck! I would just cry all through the movie.

I did see Australia and loved it!

Actually, I saw Benjamin Button and I thought it wasn’t all that great. It truly is a fascinating movie but it just doesnt make you feel satisfied and “whole” from it. Kinda dissapointing.
And…Brad Pitt wasn’t all that great either.

I really wanna see Marley and Me! I heard it was a fantastic movie and the actors were great! Very sad movie tho, bring a tissue box.

We saw Benjamin Buttons and it’s the MOTHER of all hankie movies – while you may tear up at the end of Marley – with Benjamin Button, both my husband and I were at a panic level for tissues within the first 30 minutes! And it didn’t let up – I think this is the first movie where I was welling up within the first few opening scenes and stayed pretty much on that way thru the whole movie. By the end of it – not a dry eye in the house. The credits started rolling and nobody was talking. Quiet…I think I may have seen some folks dialing their therapists. So if you go – Take TISSUES! If you don’t need them – the bleeding heart next to you will!

Didn’t see M & M but BB was not worth the 3 hours. It was Forrest Gump with new actors and a slightly different, althought very slightly, story line. Guy with physical impairment meets girl out of his league who treats him poorly then has his kid…complete with the mother with all the tag lines, the boat comes into play again and of course the death at then end. Same old story. The only entertaining person in the movie was Queenie. Hope to see hear get a nod for best supporting actress.
