Sorry…
Well, after reading some of the comments you guys left over the holiday, I can see that you weren’t too pleased I haven’t posted much in the last week. I’m sorry some of you are left with no other option then to check out Perez Hilton. 
I needed to take some time off. It’s been a crazy holiday season. The week of Christmas, Portland was hit with about 13 inches of snow, and most of us were snowed in with our kids for a week. By time Christmas came around, I just really needed a break! The snow finally let up enough that we could get out – and I have taken the last couple days to just re-coup. I know you guys think I’m not posting as much – and that I have too many ads. For one thing, the site is not cheap to run. I have to pay for all these pictures – plus the cost of the server. I don’t have a writer anymore, so it’s all me. I’ve been doing the best I can, but I can see that you guys are wanting more – so I’m going to try and step up my game tomorrow. I’ll do my best to add more posts to the cycle… Lately I’ve been posting 3 times an hour – so I’ll try and make it 4. The holidays are over, so I won’t have to be gone as much. I’ve been trying to keep everything going best I can, but obviously it’s upset some of you guys.
So my New Years Resolution is to post more!! I’ll post more starting tomorrow. I’ll just lock my kids in their bedroom with Saltine’s and a chamberpot.
Anyway – I’ll post some more now, then start posting more tomorrow.

I think you’re doing a wonderful job and I think it’s rude that people are being rude because you have a life and couldn’t post over the holiday. I myself couldn’t imagine keeping up so keep up the good work and screw the nasty people.

Why anyone would say anything negative to you is beyond me. I tried to start my own site a year ago, and gave up after I couldn’t keep up with all the work that is involved int his. I applaud you, and think you’re doing an amazing job. Eveyone one needs to get a life and stop giving you a hard time. I live in Spokane, so I’m completely aware of the weather you just had to deal with. I only have one kid, and I can’t imagine being stuck in the house with 2 kids – while trying to work at the same time. Don’t pay any attention to these guys, Jocelyn – I’m sure everyone will continue to come back even if you take some time (gasp!!)to be with your family!

I agree 100%. Its a time for family, not looking at celebrity pictures online! I enjoy my fair share, but the last few days I have spent with my kids, and assumed you did the same! Hope your Christmas was great, and please don’t feel pressure to post more, your sanity, and kids come first. Not to mention, we all get to look at your site for free, you are providing US a free service and we should be grateful you’re here at all.

the one thing i find annoying is when people complain but do not offer any solutions. so unless people want to walk in Jocelyn’s shoes and operate a blog, don’t criticize. i quit blogging bc it got too time consuming so just know it ain’t easy.

Don’t worry about it. Only people who do not have a life would begrudge you having a couple of days off for your family at Christmas or while you are experiencing severe weather. Do what you can, your readers will come back.

Thank you guys!! When I finally came back to my computer today, I found some pretty nasty comments, and it really made me feel bad. I feel like I’m doing the best I can, and when Christmas came around – I was pretty excited to have a couple days off. I’m so glad not everyone shared their opinions. It is really difficult to juggle the kids and the site (not to mention, the makeup site). So thank you to everyone who’s leaving nice remarks…makes me back off the ledge.

I think you’re doing a great job! Anyone who complained about too few posts during Christmas needs to get a life. Seriously. I enjoy your site very much. Keep doing what you’re doing. Kids/life need to come first no matter what.

I cannot believe anyone complained! You do a great job managing the site, and I find its one of the most constantly updated sites I look at. Also I appreciate that you are not snarky like Perez Hilton and don’t constantly post stories about your personal favourites (like a certain Mr H!). Relax and have some more time away from the computer -we can cope!

Just a ditto and a kudo here. I love ICYDK, and if I’m not mistaken, all of the gossip news slowed down over the holidays anyway. Many of the bloggers take time off over the holidays, and should feel free to do so!

You do a wonderful job and your’s is the only site I visit. If you have a slow day posting, then it forces me to actually do my work here at the office!
