SNOW!!!

Are you getting snow where you are? Here in Portland, Oregon, we are seeing record-breaking snow! We now have a whopping 13 inches of snow on the ground! Last time Portland saw this kind of snow was 1968! When I woke up this morning, I couldn’t believe it was snowing again…this is crazy!
My husband got up and drove to work this morning – which is NUTS. We bought chains over the weekend, and I’m so glad we did. We might be able to get out tonight and finish the last of our Christmas shopping.
I have several things being shipped to me for Christmas, and this snow is holding it up!! Hopefully it clears up enough so I can get my presents in time!
Share your snow stories!!
PS: These are pictures I took from my house this morning. Can you believe all that snow!!

I heard! My brother lives on Hawthorne and is dealing with it too! We are from the east coast, so the idea of snow plows and salt trucks are obvious — however, since he moved there a few years ago, he has definitely had to readjust. I am just hoping he and my sister in law are able to fly home for Christmas… although so far PDX has been cancelling most if not all of its flights?

I’m pretty sure all flights have been cancelled out of PDX. This is just so crazy!!

I am from Syracuse NY and we’re getting hit hard also! Friday was horrible, Saturday was fine, Sunday it snowed more, then today, we’re getting blasted, another 4-8 inches! I still have X-mas shopping to do lol

I am in Florida dreaming of snow and being envious of all of you!! We have a high of 61 today but the rest of the week..including Christmas..is going to be in the 80’s. Anyway, want to trade houses for the holidays??

I live in Minnesota so that doesn’t shock me at all lol…what are you using chains for?

We have no snow, and I’m not looking forward to getting any. But, for some reason I’m dying to make a snow angel on your picnic table. lol

I have no idea what we’re using for chains. My husband bought them this weekend from the dealer.
My oldest son wanted to go outside and play in the snow on the picnic table – and I wouldn’t let him! I think it’s really beautiful, and I’m dying to see how tall it gets! Since I took that picture this morning, it’s about 2″ taller!

I work for the chain manufacturer in downtown Vancouver and today was my 8th day in a row at work. Its crazy, our parking lot has been jammed packed with Schwab trucks for over a week LOL. Makes for long days but they go by quickly. Everyone drive safe

I think you’re doing a wonderful job and I think it’s rude that people are being rude because you have a life and couldn’t post over the holiday. I myself couldn’t imagine keeping up so keep up the good work and screw the nasty people.
Happy New Year to you and your family!
