Is Demi Lovato a cutter?
Settle down, Disney fans: Demi Lovato isn’t a cutter, her rep says.
The ‘Net blew up Thursday with speculation that the up-and-coming “Camp Rock” star was into self-harming. Within hours, “Demi Lovato” and “cutter” racked up to 65,000 search results on Google.
The “evidence”? Lovato, 16, accidentally flashed several angry red marks on her inner wrist during Miley Cyrus’ Disneyland birthday bash … back in October.
“These allegations are completely false,” says the singer’s rep, Lillian Matulic.
Demi, she points out, was wearing several oh-so-hip tight plastic bracelets earlier that day which “left indentations on her wrist.”
Lovato shot to teen stardom earlier this year as the lovable-yet-shy Mitchie Torres in “Camp Rock” alongside Joe Jonas.
She later launched a successful album, “Don’t Forget,” which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard charts, propelling her that much closer to mainstream stardom and the rumors that come with it.
I’ve worn rubber bands on my wrist for years – and it’s never left those kinds of marks. Especially not more than one. Did she have four rubber bands around her wrist? Hmmm… interesting.

I have a cousin who was a cutter and tried to commit suicide when her parents divorced. She has those same marks/scars on her wrist and it’s been 10 years.
Those aren’t from bracelets.

I assumed the marks on the wrist were from dye in the bracelets. I find it hard to believe that she would pose that way if she knew she had scars.

if you wear rubberbands they leave marks around the entire wrist and not just part of it. Maybe she thought the skirt part of her dress was blocking the scars??

yeah ive had alot of experience with cutters and coincidently thats what theyre wrists usually look like im not saying she is im just saying its not probable that bracelets did that

this pic has been altured. I saw the same pic somewhere else and the marks looked different. I don’t think it was bracelets but it looks more like a burn in some other pics I’ve seen.

i love demi lovatoo, but i seriously doubt that those scars were from bracelets. if she really did cut herself, id be really disappointedd.

hay if this was tru woulnt we have seen them earlyer im a cutter n trust me makeup dosenot cover them up so we would have noticed sooner

Donteverbother, the cuts, or indentations (whatever you want to think), haven’t been altered. The picture has. It’s been brightened, as the original picture was kind of dark.

i think she really is, ive looked into it, it shows other pics of the outside of her wrists, its totaly smooth so i think the whole “bracelets” recovery thing is ****

She\’s NOT a cutter!
Look at me, im a 13 year old, with friends, a family, EVERYTHING, and if you look at my wrist, it\’s full of scars like that ones! And it\’s just because i used to wear some bracelets, which caused an alergic reaction in my skin! That kind of injuries last like a month, and they dont even hurt, that\’s why you dont notice you have them!
Do you think if Demi Lovato was a cutter, she would let ALL of us see the evidence!? NO! If it was that, she would\’ve put some makeup on it or something, but she didn\’t, \’cause she knows it\’s just an injurie produced by the gummy gracelets!
Trust me! im a HUGE Demi Lovato fan, and i DO NOT trust this!

If this photo was NOT photo shopped, she is lying. i’ve worn those bracelets before, they do not leave marks like that, and if they did, that would be all around her wrist not just underneath

As a cutter, I know how hard you try to cover marks up. But after a while, because you’ve been staring at them so much, so sort of get used to them, and forget people can see them; you assume they’re paler than they are.
They’re certainly not bracelet marks, not in my opinion. If she is a cutter, that wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. In fact, it would be nice to see some celebrity acknowledgement that it does happen, rather than it just getting ignored, like always.

ok this is gonna sound odd but i used to be a cutter and i have those kinds of marks on my wrist. i still wear braclets to cover mine and they are hard to hide.

Those to me look like cut marks. I have several on my arms from self harm and they look just the same. Its hard to hide them with make up aswell. If she is a cutter i feel for her, she obviously has some problems that need addressing :/

Well as it has been stated, only Demi Lovato knows what the deal is. But from where I sit, they do not look like marks from a bracelet. They look like marks from a blade. The bracelet response sounds like a cheap ploy to cover up a situation. However, if the marks are from cutting, I seriously doubt having it published on thousands upon thousands of websites is going to make things easier on Demi L. That certainly wouldn’t help me.

These r bracelet marks I’ve worn that kind And they do leave red marks and don’t judge Demi even if she is a cutter just leave her alone I mean how wood u like to be followed around by poparazzi and have your pic taken every 2 sec… So wats the big deal 4 little marks make people think demis a cutter that just plain stupid
