Courtney Love Admits To Daughter She Took Heroin While Pregnant
Rocker Courtney Love has been completely honest with her daughter about her battle with drugs – even telling the youngster she took heroin during her pregnancy.
Love openly admits taking a variety of illegal drugs while she was pregnant with 16 year old Frances Bean, her daughter with late husband Kurt Cobain. But the singer insists she didn’t know she was expecting at the time.
And Love is adamant that she has always talked openly with Frances about her drug-addled past, admitting she was relieved when he daughter was born healthy.
She tells British Elle magazine, “My daughter knows I did drugs in my first trimester of pregnancy. She weighed 7lbs 6oz when she was born and she was healthy.”
And Love also reveals that the teenager enjoyed some happy times with her late father, who committed suicide in 1994 – when Frances was just two years old.
She adds, “We were excellent parents and I say that despite pretty much always having an edge on. Frances bonded very well with her father, at least in the first year and a half of her life.”
