TWILIGHT!!
Okay so a lot of you probably want me to just shut up about Twilight already, but I can’t – so bite me (no pun intended)!
I’m so excited! The movie officially comes out tonight at midnight, and if I weren’t so stinking old (and already in bed) I’d be at that show! I am, however, seeing it tomorrow at noon. I’ve been reading reviews all day, and the only critic review was the one I posted earlier from Entertainment Weekly.
From what I’ve gathered from people who have seen the film already, they’ve all said it doesn’t stick to the book as much as they would have liked. But I think that’s usually the case when you have a movie based off a book. I’m not going in – expecting to see the exact book I read. I understand there are some differences. And when you have such a cult following – like this movie – people feel personally connected to the book. I think it’s hard to not disappoint some fans.
I can’t remember the last time I was this pumped, this excited to see a movie. I just finished Eclipse last night around 11:00 – and I LOVED it. I was a bit disappointed with New Moon, but Eclipse was much better. I’m going to start Breaking Dawn tonight – and it’s going to be sad! I’ve been really enjoying these books – I don’t want them to end!
Are any of you seeing Twilight tonight or tomorrow?

If the only critical review you read was in ET then you aren’t looking hard enough. Off the top of my head, I know Roger Ebert didn’t like it.
Brooding escapism bs. Bleh. Whatever. You’re an adult? Grow up.

I think Breaking Dawn (book 4) is my favorite… and yet it has some of the biggest problems of the series for me… but you’ll enjoy it
I’m dragging the husband to see it tomorrow after we get off work (at 4) so hopefully the theatre won’t be TOO full of stupid teenage girls…

Okay I saw the movie and I loved it. It definitely deviated from the book a bit but what movie made from a book doesn’t.
Holly who are you telling to grow up? Robert I hope

I read all 4 books in the past week, and must say that you are going to love book 4! I was also sad to have finished it last night…I feel lost today without more to read LOL! I have tix to see the movie tonight at 10…and I know the clock is going to go super slow today.

My sister and I went to see it now, we have read all four books and LOVED the books and sad to say we are in our 30’s, but we loved them anyway. My sister loved the movie but I really didn’t love it, I didn’t hate it either, but I defintely loved the books much better, the movie just went way to fast, there wasn’t enough time to fit in all the stuff I loved about the books. But I think everyone needs to go see it that is a Twilight fan, that way maybe they can correct some of the mistakes they made in this one for the second one!
