Angelina Confirms She’ll Replace Tom Cruise in Spy Flick

Angelina Jolie has confirmed that she will replace Tom Cruise in the espionage thriller Edwin A. Salt.
Asked in an interview with BBC Radio on Monday about her next film project, she said, “I’m working on a film called Salt. And it’s with [Bone Collector director] Phillip Noyce. And that’s it.”
It had first been reported in August that Jolie was in talks for the role after Cruise dropped out. Writers had reworked the lead character — a CIA officer falsely accused of being a Russian agent — to be female.
In a separate BBC News interview last week, Jolie said she returns to work in February, but after that, she won’t work for a year.
“I like being home a lot,” the mother of six said. “First and foremost, I have a lot of children, and I need to make sure they’re growing right and they’ve got us there for them.”
She said she plans to “fade away” from acting in the years to come.
Said the star, “I’m not so worried that I want to keep this pace up and try to be something and be a celebrity.”

It seems my favorite acting professional Tom Cruise is up to his old tricks again. He’s a new movie coming out with Cameron Diaz and it looks like it’s going to be a fantastic one particular, I just really enjoy Tom Cruise movies, I think he’s genuinely very good at these types of action films. This latest fillm is an action-comedy based on a fugitive couple on a exciting and sometimes deadly adventure where nothing and no one – even themselves – are what they look. During moving alliances and sudden betrayals, they race across the world, with their survival ultimately dependant on the battle of truth vs . trust- I can’t wait for this to come out.
