Two new Twilight videos!
I had decided I wasn’t going to read the Twilight books. I avoided them like I avoided the Harry Potter books. They were SO BIG and EVERYONE was talking about them, and for some reason I felt like I didn’t want to jump on the bandwagon and read them. PLUS reading the Harry Potter series is a very daunting task – there are so many freaking books! I had all but given up on the Twilight books as well – I thought I’m never going to read these 4 huge books. Then my sister in law gave me all four books – and told me I HAD TO read them. I thought – well, this is a sign…I have to read them now!
I sat down last night, and instead of watching tv (shocking, I know) I read 100 pages of the first book. I would have read more, if I could have. It was awesome! It’s a really easy read – and it’s totally addictive. I can see how Trista made it through all four books in just over 3 weeks. They are hard to put down!!
Have any of you read the books? I’m hoping to get them done before I see the movie!

Oh My Gosh! I read all four books in a matter of a few weeks also. They are unbelievable! I too put off reading them because “I didn’t have time” etc, but they are so great – I truely am obsessed now. BTW I also am a 29 year old mother of three, not your typical teenage fan, but a true fan regardless.

I first saw the movie trailer and was thrilled because I love vampire flix — then when my boyfriend told me they were based on books I ran out and bought the first one. Well, LOVED it!!! Sped thru it in one day, no joke, and within a week and a half with regular trips to the bookstore I had read all four books. As you say, really easy read, fun, and seductive– my sister is reading them now, loves them, and my best friend is next on the list.

I waited and waited to read the books..THEN I pried the first one open and wasn’t too thrilled with it..BUT THEN I got so involved in it that I finished the first book and went out and bought the other 3 that night! LOVED THEM..(I am 30..thank goodness I am not the only non-teenager)

I was the same way, I didn’t want to read them because (don’t lie- you know they sound kinda lame when you first hear the concept) but then my friend finally made me cave too- and i’m so happy i did! i know everyone says they’re fluff, but i think Stephanie Meyers is an amazing writer and i was totally addicted!! they’re my favorite books now and I tell everyone to read them. Counting down the days till the movie!!

Yeah, real good movie! I took the kids cos I thought it would be more their “thing” than mine (as you do…). Well, turns out that it was the kids “thing”, and er, mine too, hehe. I’m looking forward to more from Stephenie Meyer!
