I watch Gossip Girl, and I love it.  It’s not going to win any awards any time soon, but I still like it.

Since rising to fame on CW’s Gossip Girl, Chace Crawford says he’s been slapped with lots of labels.

“Model turned actor, dime a dozen, eye candy, doesn’t know what he’s doing … and Perez Hilton says I have ‘gayface,’” Crawford, 23, says in November’s Details. “So on top of everything else, I have to overcome gayface.”

Growing up in the wealthy Dallas suburb of Plano, Crawford says he wasn’t anything like his Gossip character, the preppy Nate Archibald.

“I’m pretty sure I wasn’t having sex with any cougars,” he says, referring to his current storyline on the show.

The most “mind-blowingly inappropriate” thing he did in high school?

“An idiotic glass-punching thing” that left him with a scar on one wrist, he tells Details.

He moved on to college to study broadcast journalism at California’s Pepperdine University, but dropped out.

He briefly worked a valet (Suge Knight was a client!) before moving on to modeling. But being handled and positioned made him feel “like an animal,” he says.

When he signed on for Gossip, he says he wasn’t sure the show would last. So he asked co-star — and Drew Barrymore fling — Ed Westwick to be his roommate.

“I thought, ‘Let’s pool our money and get something good,’” Chace says. “I didn’t even know if the show was going to last.”

He has six more seasons to go under his contract.

“It never really gets frustrating,” he says. “Sure, sometimes you just want to have a scene where you’re drunk or having fun. I’m hoping for a fall from grace for Nate. Five years from now, I better have murdered someone!”

He says the show’s fans continue to amaze him.

“Once when we were on location on the Upper East Side,” he says, “these girls came up, you know, with the Blair headbands and their skirts hiked up higher than they should be, and I said to them, ‘So, are you looking at colleges?’ and they said, ‘No, we’re in seventh grade.’”

Says Crawford, “I was like, ‘What?! You shouldn’t even be watching our show!’”

Jenny McCarthy is attacking back against actress Amanda Peet after her comments in a recent magazine interview, where she called parents who choose not to vaccinate their children, parasites in an upcoming issue of Spectrum Magazine.

Even after Amanda apologized for her comments, Jenny is taking pride in being called a parasite and defending the autism community. In Spectrum’s October/ November issue Jenny says, “she has a lot of balls to come forward and be on that side, because there is an angry mob on my side, I like the fact that I can say she’s completely wrong.”

Jenny a mother of a recovered autistic child has recently led a rally of thousdands with Jim Carrey in Washington DC, this past summer, calling for the Federal Government to clean vaccines of all toxins and to change a loaded schedule that leads to the cause of autism. There are over 5000 cases of parents suing the government for improper immunization of children.

Doctors across the the nation are going after Jenny McCarthy’s crusade. According to Spectrum, The American Association of Pediatrics (AAP) put a nationwide casting call looking for a spokesperson to combat Jenny. Jenny has been gaining world wide media attention fighting against what she deems, unsafe vaccines. Amanda Peet agreed to be a spokesperson for Ever Child By Two (ECBT) because she was concerned about the information circulating throughout Hollywood.

According to Jenny “Until she walks in our shoes she has no idea?? referring to Amanda Peet. She also says that the AAP “sucks”.

National Autism Advocacy Group, Autism United, is calling for a boycott of all of Amanda Peet’s movies. “We want to send a clear message to her,” says Executive Director, John Gilmore. “Our community will not support the continued misinformation that is funneled into the media by organizations like ECBT and the AAP. We are not against vaccines, rather we are for safe vaccines. Until they understand that, we won’t back down. Ms. Peet’s comments are deplorable and an apology will not suffice. We applaud Jenny McCarthy’s continued efforts and for speaking up for our community.”

DEBATE! Let’s start a debate, shall we?  Where do you stand on the vaccine issue?  Both of my boys were vaccinated (but not many people questioned it 6 & 8 years ago) but if I had a newborn, I would still vaccinate now.  My sister, Robyn, has decided that while she will vaccinate her new son, she won’t give him more than one/two shots at a time.  I’ve heard of more people doing this – it’s easier for their little bodies to take the immunizations when they’re not given all at once.  Instead of getting mass doses every six months or so, give them one – maybe two every or every other month.

PS: I can appreciate Jenny McCarthy, and what she’s trying to do, but man – she drives me NUTS.  I saw her on Oprah last week, and I find her very annoying.  That’s just my opinion, of course.

Janet Jackson has been hospitalized, a rep said Monday.

The singer “got suddenly ill during the sound check” before her concert in Montreal and had to be rushed to the hospital, according to a statement released by W&W Public Relations.

Jackson, 42, is being monitored at the hospital, and hopes to reschedule the show.

No further information was given about Jackson’s condition.

DJ AM has surfaced in public for the first time since his horrific plane crash, joining mourners at a memorial service Monday for one of those who didn’t escape the fiery mishap, Chris “Lil Chris” Baker.

Baker, 29, was one of four people killed as their Learjet apparently blew a tire and burst into flames during takeoff Sept. 20 in Columbia, S.C.

He was the personal assistant to drummer Travis Barker. Barker and AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, survived the wreck with second- and third-degree burns and are expected to make full recoveries.

Visibly scarred and wearing oversized sunglasses, Goldstein arrived via limo at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood.

Per the request of Baker’s family, the celebrity spinner and his fellow mourners dressed in green.

Goldstein hadn’t been spotted since leaving Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Ga., last Friday and flying back to Los Angeles. He reportedly attended the weekend funeral of another of the crash victims—Barker’s security guard Charles Still, 25—but never left of his tinted-out SUV.

Barker, meanwhile, checked out of Doctors Hospital earlier Monday and is en route to California on a bus.

Baker is survived by his wife, Otillia Villar, and their 2-year-old son, Sebastian.

Kelly Osbourne has revealed she had a pregnancy scare when she was just 13.
In an interview with New! magazine, the party girl, daughter of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, admits she foolishy lost her virginity at a very young age.

Kelly said: “I convinced myself I was pregnant when I was 13 and I hadn’t even got my period.

“There are so many rumours and also so much wrong information being passed around, so it is a really important message the World Contraception Day is trying to give out.”

Kelly – an ambassador for World Contraception Day – also revealed she gets tested for sexually transmitted infections every three months.

The 23-year-old admitted having unprotected sex in the past and has the tests for her own peace of mind

Kelly, who is currently dating model Luke Worrall, said: “I am not the kind of person who talks about my sex life, but I am not afraid to talk about contraception.

“I go three, maybe four times a year to get tested for sexually transmitted infections and most of the time I don’t even need to. I just go for peace of mind.”

Recently-married Scarlett Johansson has previously said that she has two HIV tests a year, and said that anyone who did not was “disgusting”.
