Russell Brand has split from his actress girlfriend Teresa Palmer – despite vowing to try and stay with one woman.

The British comedian, who has admitted attending rehab to battle a sex addiction, split from his lover earlier this week.

Brand had been dating the Aussie actress after meeting her on the set of his forthcoming movie Bedtime Stories. And following his controversial appearance as host of this year’s MTV Music Video Awards he admitted he was struggling not to stray.

He told reporters at the event, “I really wanted to go mental after the awards and f**k everyone – but it is difficult when your girlfriend’s in the bed.”

And now the star has confirmed the split, insisting there are too many gorgeous women around to remain single.

He tells Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper, “I’m single. There are so many beautiful women around. One day you will not be young and beautiful.”
