Val Kilmer - the Governor of New Mexico?
Val Kilmer is tipped to become the next governor of his home state of New Mexico - by the politician currently in the hot seat.
Democrat Bill Richardson has to step down from the position when his second term ends in 2011 - and he would love to hand over the keys to the governor’s mansion to Kilmer.
He says, “I like the idea. Val Kilmer is a New Mexican, he was Batman. You know there have been successful actors going into politics. I haven’t talked to him about it, I don’t know how serious he is, but you know if he jumps in a race he’s got name ID, so it can’t be discounted.”
Kilmer - who is actively involved with the The Wildlife Center of New Mexico - wouldn’t be the first actor to become a governor.
Hollywood icons Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ronald Reagan have both held the position in California.

NOOOOOOO!!! Val has had a hard enough time running his own life. Playing Batman-poorly-in a movie does not make one qualified to be Gov. And if he were a mo i think he’d have kept him self in MUCH better shape. The guy looks like crap.

You have to be a complete idiot to think Val is a homosexual. He probably turned you down when you were harassing him. Besides, saying that reveals you’re small-minded. I’m not sure why I’m even bothering to respond to such a stupid comment.
People are funny. They will say things about celebs, but once in a room with them, they’re salivating and trying to figure out ways to get near them. Fact is, Kilmer would make a great governor. He has a genuine and deep love for New Mexico. I would feel safe if my state were in his hands.
