Tyra Banks, 160 pounds and loving it!
Tyra Banks had no problem fitting into her dress for a Harper’s Bazaar party held in her honor at Highbar in NYC on Sept. 3.
“I’m still 160 pounds,” Tyra said proudly. “I want to be healthy.”
After an unflattering picture of the 5-foot-10 former supermodel on the beach surfaced in 2006, Tyra was attacked for packing on the pounds. But she’s making sure there isn’t a repeat of that unfortunate incident. “I think my weight’s just redistributed,” Tyra, 34, says of her curvy shape these days. “I kayak. I go to dance class. I run around a lot at Jackie O’s Reservoir [in NYC’s Central Park]. So I’ve been doing a lot of cross-training, but it hasn’t changed the number on the scale. I’m between 159 and 162.”
And that’s a number she’s happy with. “I want to be fit,” says Tyra. “Always!”

I don’t have a problem with her weight and I think she looks great, but if that is her position, how come on ANTM her pics are airbrushed to make her look way skinny? For those that watch the show, when she’s posing like a mailmain for her tyramail, that pic is way photoshopped. Why doesn’t she just leave it her regular size?

ruby: maybe because she’s not the one who decides when the shoots are over whether you like or not all the photos are photoshopped ’cause it sells more to see perfectly shaped models even if it doesn’t look natural; even people like queen latifah or JLO ARE PHOTOSHOPPED SO their covers can sell better
