Amy Winehouse takes a second shot at DJing
Amy Winehouse is to have a second try-out as a DJ – after she disappointed partygoers at her first London club night by not playing a single record.
The Back to Black singer was due to hit the decks at the launch of her own regular club night at the Monarch pub in Camden, London in June. But she baffled the crowd by merely dancing around the DJ booth while a friend controlled the music.
Now Winehouse has announced that she is to host another club night at the venue on Thursday, playing tunes along with DJ Bioux.
The night is called ‘Snakehips’ and is billed as a mix of 1960s girl groups, northern soul, beat and doo-wop tunes.
