Comedian Sarah Silverman has been set as the host of the first-ever “Music for Mercy Corps” fundraising gala to benefit the people of Darfur, produced by Take Note, on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the Tuscan Villa in The Hamptons.

Tom Petty, B.B. King, Elvis Costello and Coldplay are just a few of the celebrities who are donating items for the gala’s auction. To view auction items, click here.

Take Note is a newly formed non-profit organization that links the entertainment industry with national and international charities, non-government organizations, and advocacy and human rights groups that humanely respond to victims of natural or man-made crises around the world.

Entertainment will be provided by The English Beat.
