Busy Philipps is a mom!
Add “parent” to her active resume: Actress Busy Philipps and her screenwriter husband, Marc Silverstein, have welcomed a baby girl, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.
Birdie Leigh Silverstein was born Wednesday and weighed in at 9 lbs., 7 oz. She was 21 ½ inches long.
Philipps, 29, who taped episodes of The Sarah Connor Chronicles while in her third trimester, told PEOPLE that she loved being pregnant – and the perks that came along with it.
“I wanted strawberry milkshakes like nobody’s business,” said the former Dawson’s Creek actress in April, adding that she planned to work hard to lose the weight after the baby was born.
“I’ll make it happen,” she said. “I’m not just gonna say it all fell off from breastfeeding!”
