Production on Russell Crowe’s upcoming Nottingham film has been postponed because of fears the leaves in Sherwood Forest will be the wrong color.
The Ridley Scott movie will see Crowe playing the Sheriff of Nottingham and Sienna Miller taking on the role of Maid Marion in a new take of the famous Robin Hood tale.
But filming has been delayed with movie bosses citing the threat of an actors’ strike this summer and “location problems” for the move.
And it has been revealed that a major factor in the decision to move the shoot back until next year is that the leaves in the original area of woodland where the Robin Hood legend was born would have turned brown by the end of filming.
A source tells British newspaper the Daily Express, “The thing about the leaves is absolutely true. It may sound silly but Sherwood Forest needs to be green – it’s central to the plot. They could have filmed in the autumn, but the post-production team would have had to retouch every leaf and that alone would have blown the budget.”
The movie is now slated for a November 2009 release.

Katherine Heigl has no plans to start a family with husband Josh Kelley just yet – because the pair is “too busy” to consider parenthood.
The Grey’s Anatomy star married singer/songwriter Kelley in December last year but the couple insist they are currently too focused with their careers to try for children.
Heigl tells People.com, “It’s nothing that we’re talking about right now. We’re pretty busy.”
And Kelley, 28, also claims his top priority is his music: “I’ve been trying to tour a little less. Basically by touring less, I’ve been making more music.”

Amy Winehouse is “gutted” to have missed out on the chance to sing the theme tune to the new James Bond movie, according to superproducer Mark Ronson.
The pair teamed up to record a possible song for forthcoming 007 film Quantum of Solace, but their effort was rejected in favour of a duet between Alicia Keys and Jack White.
And Ronson admits that they are both extremely disappointed their entry was not chosen for the movie soundtrack – putting the decision down to Winehouse’s troubled personal life.
He says, “It’s really disappointing, of course it is. But at the time Amy was going through some s**t, and now she’s doing great, so who cares if we missed the Bond boat. It’s fantastic to see her back on track again. We’re both gutted we missed out on 007, but there will be other great opportunities for us.”

The comedienne regularly posts her thoughts and opinions on her official website, allowing fans to respond with their comments and advice.
But O’Donnell admits that she has become obsessed with writing on the site – and on Tuesday, announced to her supporters on Rosie.com that she is taking a break.
She tells People.com, “I’ll take the month off and then see what it feels like to come back to it. I’m wondering if I can do it. Every time I watch Intervention, I’m like, ‘They need this show for people who need to get off their computers!’ My real addiction is the computer and the blog.
“It gets to a point where it’s too much. It’s too draining. There’s too much incoming of other people’s opinions and I’m like, ‘Okay, you know what? I’m gonna stop.’”

Tom Hanks, his wife Rita Wilson and actress Nia Vardalos have dropped their legal battle over profits from hit 2002 movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
Vardalos wrote the script for the comedy, while Hanks and Wilson were producers of the film.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding proved to be an unexpected blockbuster, earning profits of $368 million.
However, the trio later accused their co-financiers at Gold Circle Films of reneging on agreements to pay the stars a share of the takings, and filed a lawsuit at Los Angeles County Superior Court in 2007.
But the firm’s bosses have reportedly refused to pay the plaintiffs any share of the profits or damages – and Hanks, Wilson and Vardalos have since decided to put an end to the legal wrangling by dropping the suit altogether. They have yet to give a specific reason for their actions.

The home belonging to Kanye West’s late mother is facing foreclosure.
Dr. Donda West died in November from complications following a cosmetic surgery procedure, and the Stronger hitmaker has since been handed control of her estate.
But the rapper has so far failed to pay the $600,000 needed to settle the mortgage on Dr. West’s Illinois condominium, it is claimed.
And now court documents from Northern Trust Bank show the property will be sold to recoup the debt unless the money is paid off, according to sources.
West inherited a reported $250,000 worth of assets as part of his mother’s estate.
