Heather Mills has followed through on her plans to move to New York after closing on a new apartment in the city.

Mills, who won a $50 million divorce settlement from former Beatle Paul McCartney earlier this year, was rumored to be on the hunt for a new pad in the Big Apple and Los Angeles, and has been spotted house-hunting on both coasts.

The former glamour model closed the deal on a full-floor condominium in the city’s celebrity-studded West Village area – after passing an extensive overview with the building’s board members, steered by designer Calvin Klein.

Millls signed the contract in June for the two-bedroom Perry Street pad, reportedly paying just under the $5 million asking price.

The new New Yorker will be living on the very same street where Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw lived in the show.
