Larry Birkhead explains his lingerie purchases for Dannielynn

Anna Nicole Smith’s former lover Larry Birkhead has spoken out in a bid to set the record straight after buying the former Playboy pin-ups lingerie at a celebrity auction – and stating it was a keepsake for their one-year-old daughter Dannielynn.
Birkhead caused controversy after telling reporters he had forked out nearly $3,000 for lingerie the late star once wore for a Playboy shoot so he could give the saucy items to their tot.
But the photojournalist says his motives were innocent – insisting the lingerie represents a huge part of Smith’s life, and says he will pass the garments on to their tot as soon as she is old enough to understand their meaning.
He tells Eonline.com, “I didn’t buy Anna’s lingerie for Dannielynn. We’re still on Sesame Street. We won’t get to Playboy until at least the age of 21. Playboy was a significant thing in her life and career. It was something that I did with pure intentions. It’s something I will give her when she’s an adult so she can better appreciate what her mother was about.”
The tot’s mom, model/actress Smith, died from an accidental overdose last February.

I’ve always thought he was creepy from the get-go. And this…confirms it. I would never want intimate items like that of my mother!

Its not like there are many more keepsakes he could have given her… what would you prefer, an empty bottle of pills?? she wasnt know for anything else..or wait a video of Naked Gun 33 1/3,., that would of been better

Maybe in Larry’s warped mind he thought he owed Dannielynn some payback after exploiting her for his own profit for the majority of her life to date. “Old underwear that Anna wore to be exploited in a magazine?! Nothing is too good for my daughter.”
