Jermaine Dupri: Janet & I are ready for baby
Janet Jackson might feel “allergic to marriage,” but the pop star is ready to have a baby, says longtime boyfriend Jermaine Dupri.
“Yeah, soon,” Dupri told People Sunday at a dinner party hosted by New Era and Belvedere Vodka at West Hollywood’s STK restaurant. “Right after the tour.” (Jackson, 42, recently announced she’ll be on the road this fall.)
The producer – who has a daughter, Shaniah, from a previous relationship – is so excited to start a family with Jackson, he doesn’t even care if it’s a boy or a girl.
“It really doesn’t matter,” he explained at the even honoring rapper Nelly. “Janet would be a great mom. She was around so many brothers and sisters all her life, so she’s got to know what that is [like]. And her mom is a great mother.”
According to Dupri, Jackson is also a great companion. “The greatest thing in life is just to have a friend,” he said. “When I have problems in life, I share them with her. When she has a problem, she comes to me.”

Janet will never have kids. If she really wanted them she would have had them earlier. 42 is a bit old to start a family.

Isn’t Janet a tad old to be having her first baby? Just because she has surgically altered herself to appear 25 does not mean she is 25 biologically. Only in Hollywood…

He’s very unattractive, but I think any of the Jacksons are creepier, including Janet. Jermaine has always come across to me in this relationship as kind of starstruck, in that he can’t believe he is actually fucking Janet Jackson. And its kind of hard to believe that Catherine Jackson was a good mother, Joe was very abusive and it doesn’t seem like she did much to stop that…hence Michael and Latoya, and the rest of them don’t seem that well adjusted either (just not to Wacko extremes). I just want to know if she is going to breastfeed with those rock-hard titties. Poor baby!

Isn’t she concerned about getting pregnant with a child that has down’s syndrome, because she is so old? I think she is too old now, maybe she will try fertility drugs like many others in Hollyweird do.
