Lance Bass recreated his former ‘N Sync bandmate Justin Timberlake’s ‘Nipplegate’ embarrassment at the 2004 SuperBowl by ripping open comedienne Kathy Griffin’s top to reveal a pair of fake boobs at the TV Land Awards in New York.

It’s amazing what gets lost in translation across the pond. The actress in question was Joyce DeWitt, reprising her role as Janet from Three’s Company in the paparazzi parody skit shown during the awards. The guy who ripped her football jersey was an unknown to me. Incidentally, the TV Land Awards are held every year at Barker Hangar in California, not New York. Kathy Griffin did present, but Lance Bass was nowhere to be seen.
I’m surprised they didn’t say Griffin was “keen” to perform.
