Heidi Montag’s mom opens up in the new issue of Us Weekly about her “devastation” over her perceived loss of her daughter to Spencer Pratt - whom, she says, may have even drugged Montag before their surprise Mexico elopement. “He’s manipulative and seems to have power over Heidi,” Darlene Egelhoff, 46, told Us in an exclusive interview from her home in Crested Butte, Colorado the day after Montag, 22, blew off Thanksgiving with her family to stay with Pratt in Cabo San Lucas., the site of her Nov. 20 elopement. “I would like to see a blood test from Mexico. It wouldn’t surprise me if he had her drugged.” “Spencer has tried to cut everyone out of her life,” Egelhoff tells Us. “I’ve been honest with Heidi, and it’s caused our relationship to decline. I’m more devastated about that than the marriage, because I’m confident the marriage won’t work out.”
Egelhoff - who divorced Montag’s dad when she was just 3 and admits she rushed into things too - says they used to be inseparable. “She was my Velcro, always attached to me,” says Egelhoff. “I want the best for my daughter - and he’s definitely not it. I think Spencer wants to possess Heidi more than marry her.” Adds Egelhoff - who famously fought with Pratt, 25, on The Hills: “God says love your enemies, but I never expected it to be my son-in-law.”
So how long does she give their marriage? “Six months,” she says. “I think it’s the biggest mistake Heidi’s ever made,” Egelhoff adds.
In the new issue of Us Weekly, Montag responds, telling Us she didn’t want Egelhoff present at her nuptials because she was “starting so much drama.” “She should be happy I found someone I love,” the bride tells Us. “Some people go their entire lives without finding that.” Adds Pratt, who famously calls Egelhoff “Stalker Mom”: “I think her mom needs to take a real fat chill pill and be happy for her daughter.”

She looks beautiful! I know I sound shocked everytime I say it - but it is rather surprising! She was soooooo nasty for so long!

With a five-month-old daughter at home, Jamie Lynn Spears should be celebrating motherhood. Instead, the former TV star is fearful that controversial plastic surgery she had while pregnant could have caused long-term harm to baby Maddie.
Star Magazine is reporting that Jamie Lynn had just finished her hit Nickelodeon show Zoey 101 when she found the weight piling on. Not realizing she was expecting, she pleaded with her mom, Lynne Spears, to let her get liposuction, says a source.
“She didn’t know she was pregnant when she filled out the health questionnaire prior to the procedure,” a second source reveals. “Her mom approved the injections and went through tons of red tape to get the clinic to administer them to an underage patient.”
Moms-to-be are advised against the procedure.
“Any form of liposuction is dangerous and should not be performed on a pregnant woman,” plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Burton tells Star. “It poses serious health risks to the fetus.”

Jessica Simpson wants to be more religious.
“I’ve been contemplating taking a college course in religion. I love religion,” she says in January’s Marie Claire.
Simpson, whose father Joe is a former Baptist minister, adds, “I remember whenever the book The Da Vinci Code came out, the Discovery Channel did this three-night piece on it that I Tivoed and then watched eight times.”
What else inspires the singer?
“I am the first person to go to Barnes & Noble and buy the new self-help book,” she confesses. “I like to fill out the surveys, then I get my friends’ opinions on how I answered to see if I was being honest with myself or not.”
Simpson recently credited beau Tony Romo with helping her “calm down.”
“He is a good guy,” she told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show. “And he’s really just helped me along in life and taught me a lot about being comfortable being myself.”
Romo is the “whole package,” she said.
“I’m not organized and he’s not organized either,” said the star, “but [he] does make me want to be organized for us.”
