Pete Doherty is missing his ex-lover Kate Moss so much, he spent $10,000 on a portrait of her.

The Babyshambles frontman was photographed purchasing the oil painting of the catwalk star from artist Sam Shaker in London.

Doherty commission the work - named the portrait Beauty - when he was still dating Moss last year but never paid the $600 Shaker charged for it.

Shaker was considering auctioning the art for charity - but Doherty claimed it on Tuesday.
