Soccer star David Beckham has treated his wife Victoria to a vineyard – so she can make her own fine wine.
The L.A. Galaxy star reportedly paid a seven-figure sum for the Californian yard as a birthday present for former Spice Girl, who turned 34 last month.
According to British newspaper The Sun, the 33-year-old sports superstar has recruited a team to help them run the vinery.
A source tells the publication, “The Beckhams became wine buffs when he played in Spain. The vineyard went down a storm with Victoria. She was delighted.”

Sean Combs is lining up Leona Lewis for a collaboration on his next album – insisting the new LP has to feature the British pop star.
The rapper admits he is a huge fan of the Bleeding Love singer and is convinced his new record won’t be a success unless she is on it.
So Combs will stop at nothing to make sure the 23-year-old agrees to work with him.
He says, “I want that girl on my next album. I’m a huge fan. Not only is she so, so beautiful, she has a great voice. She is extremely talented and its great she is from England. She has one of the best voices I’ve heard. I’m already thinking about my next album and definitely want to make it work, so she’s on it. I had Christina Aguilera on my last album, but it’s all about Leona Lewis on my next.”

On working with George Clooney:
“It was a no-brainer. I heard George was making a movie and I said, “When?” If he had asked me to make peanut butter sandwiches for the catering, I would have said, “Crunchy or smooth?” It’s never less than great with him. And poor me, I had to watch guys throwing a football all day. Yeah, that was horrible. (Chuckles) Talk about living the dream.”
On being a happy person:
“I’m fortunate. I think I was born happy. If I have a bad moment, it doesn’t take me long to switch the gear back. I say, ‘That sucked,’ and move on. There’s a lot I want to do. I want to be better at things. I want to know more; I want to understand more. I want to figure out what it is I’m supposed to do. I’m on the road, but I know it’s not the whole road.”

On being Fulfilled:
“I’m not about “If only””, she says of her life. “I know the reality of things and there’s always good there. There’s no yearning with me. There’s intention.”
On acting and liking her job:
“I like the struggle of my work,” she continues. “I like that it’s ridiculous and that it matters to me for reasons I can’t verbalise eloquently. I like it when you’re shooting in 47 degrees below zero and everybody looks the same and it’s hilarious and we’re getting done what we’d hope to do that day.”
On being conscientious:
“I care about what the path I tread looks like. That matters to me – not how other people perceive me. I don’t want to be cruel or belittle people. That’s not part of my constitution and I’m very glad that it isn’t.”
