Victoria Beckham has quashed reports the Spice Girls will reunite for a final time at former South African President Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday concert this summer, because she has quit the music industry.

The former singer made a triumphant return to the stage as part of the group’s comeback world tour last year.

But the 34-year-old has ruled out ever performing with the band again - because she wants to concentrate on her career as a fashion designer.

She says, “I loved the whole social thing about being back with the girls. It was so much fun. But I am not going to sing anymore - I’ve hung up my mic.”
