Courtney Love has been admitted to hospital in Los Angeles after complaining of chest pains.

The star checked into L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at 3am on Friday, fearing she was suffering from throat condition laryngitis.

Love’s representatives confirm she was seen by doctors and diagnosed with strep throat - a severe sore throat and swelling of the tonsils - before being released.
