Jennifer Love Hewitt can’t stop the whisperers. When she wore a bikini, she heard about her figure. And when she covered up – wearing flowing, baby doll styles while recently running errands and at last weekend’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards – she faced baby rumors.

But the engaged Ghost Whisperer star isn’t keeping quiet. She fought back after the bikini pictures hit the Internet. And now her rep has issued a flat-out denial: “She is not pregnant.”

Renée Zellweger and George Clooney have been pals for a long time – long enough, it seems, that even wise-cracking about their personal lives comes easy.

In a new interview with the U.K. edition of Marie Claire, the pair – who costar together in the new movie Leatherheads – have a good laugh about their views on marriage.

“We’ve both been very successful at it,” Clooney joked. (He’s divorced, and Zellweger annulled her marriage to Kenny Chesney after four months).

The pair have been friends for ten years and they’ve been romantically linked in the past, prompting Zellweger, 38, to joke: “We’re married! Didn’t you hear? The baby’s coming in July. Why do you think I’m wearing this baggy jacket?”

In all seriousness, though, she thinks Clooney, 46, is a “good man,” saying: “It’s just his natural disposition … he does the right thing, it’s almost a disease with him. I know it’s shocking in this day and age that there’s no scandal. He’s just nice and he works very, very hard.”

‘One of My Dearest Friends’
Clooney, twice named People’s Sexiest Man Alive, was similarly effusive about Zellweger, describing her as “one of my dearest friends.” As the writer and director of the 1920s football comedy Leatherheads, Clooney says he felt under pressure as well.

“When Renee commits, it greenlights a movie. So, there’s a responsibility, as the director of this film, not to screw up my friend,” Clooney said. Zellweger chimed in: “And I reminded him daily. ‘Don’t screw this up for me, man.’”

Zellweger, meanwhile, has nothing but praise for Clooney, her director and costar, although she admitted feeling the pressure when she realized her part in Leatherheads was written for her by Clooney.

“I was terrified,” she says. “I didn’t want to be the one who sucked in his movie. You’d much rather disappoint someone you’re not going to see again.”

I’ve always been obsessed with John Cusack, and when my sister sent me this article, I had to laugh.

A woman who was ordered to stay away from John Cusack has been arrested on suspicion of stalking the actor and violating a restraining order.

Emily Leatherman was taken into custody Sunday after Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were called to Cusack’s neighborhood, where a cab driver reported that a passenger didn’t have enough money to pay for the ride to get there, sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said Monday.

As the deputies were responding to the situation, they were flagged down by Cusack.

“He told them he recognized the woman in the cab and that she had been stalking him,” Whitmore said.

He said deputies found evidence at the scene that led to the arrest, but he declined to elaborate, citing the investigation.

Leatherman was arrested for investigation of stalking, violating a restraining order and petty theft. She was being held on $150,000 bail.

Whitmore said the 33-year-old woman is “considered a transient in the Santa Monica area.”

A call to Cusack’s publicist wasn’t immediately returned.

In July 2006, Cusack was granted a temporary restraining order stipulating that Leatherman stay at least 500 feet away from him, his home, his work, his car and offices or companies in which he does business.

In court papers, Cusack said Leatherman “is showing unusual interest by stalking, throwing long letters of interest over my fence in bags with rocks and screwdrivers inside, making unannounced visits to offices of people I work with in an attempt to meet with me and listing my address as her own during a recent arrest.”

Leatherman has claimed she only sent Cusack two letters.

Hollywood funnyman Adam Sandler has broken his ankle playing basketball. According to the star’s representative, the 41-year-old damaged his leg during the game, but was determined to finish the match, which he eventually won.

The actor is currently shooting Walt Disney Pictures’ Bedtime Stories, due out later this year, however Sandler’s representatives insist the injury will not affect production.
